I converted some old family videos from VHS to DVD and edited them in Movie Maker with the goal of burning them as DVD player compatible. I exported them as .wmv files then converted to .mp4 using Freemake to ensure compatibility. The files run fine on a PC but are only saving to my DVD+R discs rather than burning and therefore are not being read by a DVD player (discs finalize but do not burn when formatted to use with a DVD player). I tried burning through Handbrake with the same issue. In desperation I also tried DVD-R discs with no luck. Please help; I spent 30 odd hours on editing and can't burn the finals! The only disc I successfully burned was the .wmv format and sound played but there was no video on the DVD player.
