I deactivated my hotmail account as my crazy ex kept changing the password and getting into it.

A year later I realised that he has somehow reactivated it, accessed personal information I thought i had deleted and continually threatens me.  So I then log into myself, easily changing the password to get access (I had to do so to be able to post a question here!).

So, how on earth is this possible?  And how can I obtain a list of I.P. addresses of where my account has been accessed over the last year so that I can give this information to the police, as this crazy loon is still stalking me (via other channels now).  This information is readily available in a Gmail email accounts.
