Have just got a new lappy with 8.1 pre-installed. 

Came to edit some pictures, taken on a good camera, auto saved in Dropbox. All the EXIF info is on both sites.

Pulled some in to Photo Gallery to edit only to find that although some of the EXIF data is available, the geotags are not.

1. WHY NOT?

2. Is there a way to extend the Data Fields to incorporate this info?

It also appears that once edited and saved, only the reduced data set travels with the modified pix, losing the ability for recipients to map them.
