I have a song that I want to create a music video for using pictures and some video. I imported a WMA file and some pictures so far and after meticulously working out timing so that a picture comes in on a certain beat in the song I find that the timing changes when I apply a video crossfade to all the pictures. Pictures don't come at at a specific time any more. IS there a way to lock a picture at a specific time like 1:14 instead of using the durations?

Once I do work out all the timing what if I want to apply an effect like crossfade will it then mess up all the timing I set up? What if I want to change a picture and use a different one. Can I still keep the same timing slot and just essentially swap the pictures? I’d prefer to work on the video from the very beginning just putting in pictures at certain spots and not have to keep starting from the very beginning each time

Maybe I can accomplish all of what I want to do with Movie Maker and am just using the wrong techniques. The bottom line is Move Maker capable of accurate timing or should I use another program? Any suggestions?
