For the past week I have been locked out of my Windows Live ID account because I forgot my password. In the process of resetting my password I hit a wall because I had two step verification turned on and one of my security proofs specifically my phone number was outdated. So after speaking with several representatives from Microsoft and Xbox alike I was directed to e-mailing Microsoft support. So for about a week I've been in a conversation with the escalation team that has gone no where! This has caused me so much stress and frustration because trying to speak with people online about this matter seems moronic in it's self. My first gripe with it is that you give a response to a message and sometimes you'll have to wait half a day to get a response from the escalation team. This would not be a problem if their responses were meaningful! Often times I feel like everything I say falls on deaf ears. For example, I was asked something by a moderator and I kindly responded to him. I then get a response from another moderator who blatantly ignores what the question I was answering was! Every time I speak to the Escalation team it feels like I just get some fake apologetic message saying some generic stuff. I feel as if they are just wearing me down so I can leave them alone because no one wants to help me with this issue. Is it wrong for me to feel like I deserve someone to actually speak to me about my issue as a long time customer of Microsoft?! I don't know what to do anymore about my problem. It seems no one at Microsoft cares enough to help me in a timely manner. In short, I would not recommend the escalation team to anyone based on my experience with them. My current experience with Microsoft concerning the issue with my account has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I hope no one has to go through what I'm going through.
