First of all very sincere apologies - I should firstly explain that I am from the dark ages and do not understand IT at all. Secondly regarding IT I have absolutely no patience either as I regularly find myself turning in circles as I jump through the help hoops and always end up back at the start/home page - so having tried to solve this issue now for 2 hours I am out of patience completely.
What's up with hotmail?! So far in the space of a week I have had to change my password countless times as it wont recognise the password either through mobile (HTC1), laptop (Dell) or now ipad mini.
I am simply going around in circles on the Microsoft website trying to find answers to my questions - literally going around in circles - everytime I click a link it leads me to another link which leads me to another link, and another and another and then I am back at thehome page again - FRUSTRATION NO. 1.
FRUSTRATION NO. 2 - I do not understand why I keep having to change my password - on basis that I am entering the correct password and the correct account name and it is not recognising it (every single time).
FRUSTRATION NO. 3 - As I am now getting no emails on any device - how can I fix this? I have deleted account from mobile and iPad in hopes that setting it up again will reboot the system correctly - not happening.
HTC1 Mobile - I enter email address and password, it checks account settings and message back is 'Warning - Authentication failed. Please verify username and/or password' - BOTH ARE CORRECT. So now what - I literally dont know what to do next (web site does not help)?
FRUSTRATION NO. 4 - iPad - set up account and password hit next and get 'a windows live hotmail plus subscription is required to use hotmail accounts with mail. Visit get.live.com/mail/plus/features for details. You can also access your hotmail account on the web at mail.live.com - I have checked the first and I honestly dont know what I am looking for so cant find help to resolve this issue.
I am so close to tears that it is ridiculous - and am one step away from permanently deleting all mail accounts ......... or throwing all devices in nearest bin!
Why does everything have to be so hard and for technically minded people only? Thats it Im off for a good cry now.
Oh and lastly FRUSTRATION NO. 5 - you have to select Category before you can post then you do that and you have to select product and topic - this is too broad a subject to be covered by any of the categories or products or topics - so looks like I cant even post this post!!!!! I have selected options that I dont even know what they are - so good luck to anyone who finds this but if you can help you might save my sanity and will have my eternal thanks.
