I need some guidance and help. I've lost control of my photos after the upgrade from Windows 7 to 10. Until now I've uploaded photos from an SD card onto Pictures This PC where one folder was created for each group of photos. Typically I take many photos, as I do this for work, and number each photo in the folder to keep track of which is which and I'm also able to name the folder with the name or names of the clients.
Not anymore since the update. I don't even have the option of choosing how to open the photos. The new photo app takes over and lumps the photos by the month they were shot. The computer downloads the photos as it wants, I lose the numerical sequence and I can't even name or specifically date the file (full date not just a general date). The app creates albums for me for which I not care. If I wanted albums, I'd like to create them myself. Moreover, when I put the SD card in the SD reader, the app downloads the photos but it does not recognize the SD reader. It ask for a device from which to import the photos only recognizing my printer or a thumb drive I've stuck in one of the USB ports.
Not being able to create an individual folder for a set of photos, name and date such a folder is making my work much more difficult. I'd like to be able to download the photos as before, into the This PC Pictures or somehow create individual files for each set of photos that I can name and date. Any guidance, help, suggestions as to how I can do this will be greatly appreciated care not to post, share or broadcast photos over social media nor to have them in the cloud, One Drive or anything else. .
Thank you.
Johnny
