Ok, so here goes. My issue involves 3 platforms...Outlook, GoToMeeting and iCal, so I'm not even sure where to begin. I have concluded that this is not a GoTo Meeting issue nor an iCal issue, so this seems the logical place to start.
When I receive a GoToMeeting request in Outlook and USE OUTLOOK to accept or reject that invitation, I have no problems...ever. The meeting date and time are properly recorded in both Outlook and iCal. I get my reminders in both too. I also get them on my phone.
This morning, I noticed 3 "Inbox" notifications in my iCal Inbox. All 3 of them were GoTo Meeting invitations and all had passed. I guess they were still showing up because I had accepted the invitation through Outlook and not iCal? Anyway, for two of the notifications I simply deleted them. No issues there at all. For the third one, however, "delete" was not an option. So, since the item had passed, I simply hit "Decline". Apparently, that was a big mistake.
Now, every time I open Outlook for Mac (2011) I get a yellow exclamation mark in the bottom right ndicating my "Error Log" report. It says "Could not synchronize record. Declined GoTo Meeting invitation........". When I delete the line item, it just reappears the next time a sync is attempted. I have gone into my Error Log settings and turned OFF error reporting. That did nothing. I then closed Outlook down completely to see if the program needed to be shut down for the setting to take effect. That didn't work either. If I ignore it altogether, my error log just grows and grows with the same line item over and over with a new time and date.
I have gone back through both my iCal AND Outlook calendar and deleted every GoToMeeting invitation and that doesn't help either. It seems that this "declined" invitation is floating around in cyberspace somewhere and I don't know where to go to "clear" the thing. Like I said, even turning off Error Reporting entirely didn't fix the problem.
