I followed jFiredog's exceedingly helpful instructions for switching over to IMAP since my Windows Live Mail 2012 stopped downloading messages yesterday (or maybe the day before). I was thrilled when the IMAP downloaded all of the headers.
However, although I can now see all the email subjects, senders, dates, etc., if I double-click on one of those to open the message, I get an error of "A problem occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again."
Additionally, at the bottom left of Live Mail, it has a message "Not connected to 'imap-mail.outlook.com'".
Furthermore, the icon at the top right says "Sign In" but whenever I try signing it does not give me an error, but neither does it change the icon to "Sign Out" (that is, it remains "Sign In" so apparently I'm not really signed in).
Anyone have thoughts about how to fix these difficulties?
