1. I open Windows Live Movie Maker 2012

2. Click Add Photos or videos

3. Add in an .avi file video

4. The clip has a yellow triangle with exclamation point

5. Click on clip and are shown the error code in the title

Most other issues I have found by searching the internet are a little similar, but most of them have the issue when they are finished with their movie, where as I have my issue before I can even edit it. I have Windows 7, and when I downloaded Windows Essentials, I was given a lot of malware and possibly viruses. I cleaned my computer using Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Internet Security but there's a possibility that a virus that cannot be detected by my virus software is still on my computer. My Movie Maker worked on my other computer that has Windows 8 but has not worked on this computer for many months now.
