Unfortunately this was not a fix for this situation.  I continue to get Error 0x87160129 when trying to create a DVD.  Any other suggestions??

I also am getting this error when I try to save as movie for computer. I get a different error when I try to save as HD movie.

I have tried all of the proposed fixes from MS, no improvement.

I tried reloading the progam, no help.

According to GEEK squad all of the components of my laptop (Win 8) are functional.

So far, the best suggestion I have is using third party software (such as Studio 18).

This works for me, but the program has a learning curve, too bad .
