For a while now I have been trying to access the contents of a PNG document through Notepad (I have my reasons) though, even if I just save it in notepad without changing any of the weird symbols it instantly corrupts the file and it cannot be opened again in the paint. I have tried using photo recovery programs to try to reformat the contents of the all while keeping it the same with no luck. I think this is because when notepad encounters a NULL type character it trnslates it to space/zero and these being vital to pints functions, it crashes. Which is why you can do nothing and only save and it is corrupted. I have tried finding extensions to notepad that allow more encoding formats in the save all sections, I've tried using photo editing softwares that have the same encoding as notepad, all to no luck. Word, on the other hand, when you put in a foreign document it gives you the option of other encoding formats, which is great! If I knew wht paint was encoded with, that is. I tried searching this up exact thing on google with no luck. The only loosely related material that i could find is that paint is a lossles bitmap image format , which either means i cant find nything for that and someone point me in the right direction, or it means that isnt the correct awnser to my question; so in the end I was like, "hey, why not ask the guys that help FREAKING MAKE IT!" So yea; i need help. =/
