I'm sure this was posted multiple times already but here goes
when I try to log into hotmail (I haven't use it for years), I get the message "It looks like someone else might be using your account".
Yes, I'm sure you guys heard of this quite alot but the customer service is horrible. I've talked to 5 different agents through live chat, and they just all tell me to go through the recovery form.
Alright, I went through it, I type in the basic information and there, the security question strangely shows as ?? ?? ?? ???. I thought this was some type of error so I asked them what's going on; they tell me that they cannot tell me the question as they do not know if I'm the owner or not.
Although I'm the owner of this account, I'm sorry but this "?? ?? ?? ???" has got nothing to do with me being the owner. This is a freaking question for god's sake. So they knew that the question was going to turn out like that and asked me to answer it? Wait what?
So why did they tell me to go through the security question for the recovery form in the first place assuming that they have suspicion of me not being the owner? That's basically saying "here, answer the security question that's unreadable and try to figure it out".
By the way, in order to submit the recovery form, you need to provide all the basic information like name, birthday, country, state, zip code, security question. The only reason why it worked before is because in the answer section of security question, I typed in that the question is unreadable.
Yes yes, another problem is that they just send the message that the information is not sufficient. So I asked them, which information am I lacking here? They just send the same message, "please go through the recovery form". The 5 agents I asked help for all told me that they'd contact the level 2 support and the escalation team in order to take care of my problem and bam, we're just going in circle with recovery form and their rubbish.
I seriously need help here.
