I have been using Windows Live Mail 2011  {Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308)} for several years and just started having a problem with email notifications.

Sometimes when I have Windows Live Mail running in the background, I will hear an email notification (music/chime/whatever), but there will be nothing in my inbox, and no new messages in my junk mail, or in my deleted items. So I am not sure if I am missing some incoming messages, or what is going on.

This happens about 2 to 4 times per day and there is never an error messages when it happens.
