Rookie with Movie Maker. Cut the first 8 minutes of a one-hour slide show in Windows Movie Maker 2012 (original format: WMV) under Windows 7. When running the preview in WMM, audio and video are synchronized nicely. When I save the movie as MP4 (using the recommended project settings) the process takes a long time (about 30 minutes), but otherwise appears to go smoothly. Again, project looks good in preview mode. If I open the resulting file in Windows Media Player (or any other player, for that matter), the audio starts properly, but video jumps through several slides. Just two of the 53 slides in the video display in the saved movie. You can see it here:

I double-checked the troubleshooting steps listed here, and everything seemed to be OK:

Before saving the movie, I shut down every other active program, and ended a number of processes in Task Manager.

What's going on here? Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance.
