I am at my wits end!!!

I have 921 photos now. All have been edited with Picasa3 and comments are right on each photo.

I have a Dell Desktop, Windows 7, updated my Intel_Chipset-Software-Insta_A01_R301321 (graphics), and downloaded 2012 Microsoft Essential (Movie Maker Build 16.4.3528.0331). I have not updated Microsoft DVD Maker.

About 1 year ago, I had 1,192 photos and I followed the same process from editing in Picasa3, making a movie with Movie Maker (all photos & music), and burned a DVD. Everything went perfect!

Now, with this set of Photos nothing worked until I updated what I listed above. I finally got to make a movie in 2 parts. Actually, I made so many movies in 2 parts, all with 5 seconds duration between slides:

  1. “DVD resolution (720x480), Standard Screen (4:3), output is Windows Media Audio/Video File
  2. “DVD resolution (720x480), Wide Screen (16:9), output is Windows Media Audio/Video File
  3. Movie Maker Recommended resolution (1,920x1,080), Standard Screen (4:3), output is MP4 Video
  4. Movie Maker Recommended resolution (1,920x1,080), Wide Screen (16:9), output is MP4 Video

All Movies play OK on the PC.

I have burned them all and all have the video very distorted in the vertical direction (heads are cut off, my comments on the bottom are cut off, circles are ovals, etc.).  In other words, I have 4 DVD that are all garbage.

When I look at the photos in a slide presentation, using Picasa3, they look great, all heads are there and no comments are cut off.

I have looked for updates for Microsoft DVD Maker but found none on the Microsoft Website.  Also, I have not found much to solve my problem on the Microsoft Community.

I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A MOVIE OF MY 921 PHOTOS WITH MUSIC. Is this a possibility with my Microsoft Tools? I have spent 2+ weeks on this with no results. I have a feeling that the DVD Maker has not been updated (may it is still using 32 bits?); however, that is just a guess. Why did everything work with the same tools a year ago?

PLEASE HELP!!!

Evelyne
