I didn't like the way I had originally tagged some people (names I had given them) and also I had made some errors in accepting suggestions.  After seeing it was more labor intensive to change some of the ways I had originally set up Photo Gallery, I decided just to delete all the old tags and start over.  However, it seems as if once a face has been tagged in a photo, even after the tag has been removed, Photo Gallery will then not "see" that face again so that it can be re-tagged via batch tagging and or be seen again so that Photo Gallery can make suggestions.

I had initially deleted all the people tags in Photo Gallery so that I could "start fresh".  When I did this, I saw that the people tag names I had used initially were still showing in the dropdown list, just without pictures.   However, I proceeded to start again to tag photos and that is when I noticed that I could not get the program to suggest or batch tag any photos that I had originally tagged (the photos I removed the tag from during my first attempt at tagging).

So in an attempt to erase all memories or connections between my first work and to try to get Photo Gallery to start fresh - as if it had never seen any of my photos,  I deleted Photo Gallery, deleted all cache thumbnail files, re-installed the program and then tried to start over again.  When I did, I knew that I was not able to delete all files Photo Gallery stored, because I did not have to import my pictures into Photo Gallery, they were all there - right away.  Also, the list of prior people tag names was still showing up in the dropdown list (but with no associated picture).

Thinking I just needed to figure out what was I must be doing wrong, I continued to try tagging photos.  But none of the easy recognizable photos (the photos that had been tagged previously) are coming back up again to batch tag, nor is Photo Gallery making any suggestions on these pictures.  Obviously, I do not want to tag all my pictures individually.

I may be just overlooking something very obvious or an easy fix to take care of this problem, but I'm stumped and cannot figure this out.  What am I doing wrong?  I would be happy to delete any and all associated files between my PC, my picture libraries and Photo Gallery and to start all over.  However, I do not know all the files to delete or change in order to do this.  Any help either way would be appreciated !!!
