I have been getting used to accessing my hotmail on a new smartphone and have hit a few glitches on the learning curve. I have now received an email claiming to be from Hotmail asking me to verify information including my name, ID, password etc. or they
will suspend my account as having been hacked. I realize now that it would show that someone was using a different device than usual etc. but I have been hacked within the past 6 months and I am very suspicious of everything now.
Is this a legitimate email from Hotmail and is this their usual protocol in the case of something that looks suspicious to them?
I may have created some confusion but I am not anxious to add to my issues but responding to some phishing scam.
What say you?
