Just got a Gateway computer with Windows 8.1  on which I cannot start Windows Live Mail. All I get is a message that says, "There is a problem with Microsoft.WindowsLive.Mail. Contact your System Administrator about repairing or reinstalling it."

I downloaded WindowsLiveEssentials and although the computer shows it is installed, I continue to get the message about the problem and still can't get a working email application.

Would appreciate any help but please - make it easy to understand as my computer knowledge is very limited.
