I have the issues trying to load Hotmail (now Outlook) upon in my Digsby account.  I am in Digsby right now.

Click on Digsby
Click on My Accounts
Click on Add Accounts
Click on butterfly icon for Hotmail/MSN

Email address:   <added>
Password;  <added>
Display Name:  <added>

Recheck/verify all input again just to be sure there are no typos, and

Click on Save

And Digsby fails to connect -- authentication error

Going back into Digsby to Edit Account

Click on Advanced

Under Advanced it shows:

IM Server:  muser.messenger.hotmail.com
Port:  1863
[  ] Always connect over HTTP (is unchecked)
Check for new mail every [5] minutes

I don't know how you managed to set up the incoming and outgoing in Digsby as you indicated above because what you see above is all that is in the Advanced set up feature.  There's no place to choose "Open a URL" or choose "System Default" either.

When I first started using Digbsy 3 years ago I had no problem with pulling Hotmail in through my Digsby account.  But for the past year and a half it has always failed.  Why?

I like Digsby because it allows me to see all my email accounts in one window as well as its IM capabilities to all my accounts.  All my contacts are right there in one place, too.  But this thing with the Hotmail not loading up is just irritating as @#*&.

Could someone PLEASE come up with a REAL solution and SOON!
