My LiveMail recently reached the 100th load and fired of compaction. Afterwards the emails were nested in 3 unwanted extra folder levels, all displayed as unread, and senders' names all had their email addresses appended inside <>. Every subsequent load then caused a repetition of the problem with a further 3 nesting levels.

Fortunately I had a backup of the email folder. I restored it to lose all the mess, and exported my emails.

I then reinstalled Live Mail, re-imported everything, and reduced the number of loads before compaction to 3. On reaching the 3rd load, the same problem occurred.

I re-installed Live Mail yet again, imported nothing, and reduced the number of loads before compaction to 3. The first compaction gave no unexpected messages, but the second compaction went into recovery mode yet again. Still no content in the database apart from what the installation process had put there.

I now feel that there is nothing wrong with my emails, and that the fault in in Live Mail itself. How do I resolve this situation?
