Corrupt app blocking Explorer in Windows 8

I have an HP Envy running Windows 8.  Skydrive  now has error or is corrupt and wont allow main bowser Explorer to run , nor can I uninstall Skydrive...any imput would be appreciated ......Norton antivirus on deck.....
