I have over 1000 emails I'd like to get from one computer to the other in Windows Live Mail.

The origin is a W10 and the destination is a W7Pro.

I've attempted to export them but my stick always only shows directories, but no content, have been exported to my stick, on at least (maybe more; I don't recall) 3 straight attempts.  It's close to a gigabyte, so an instant 'confirmation' is a clue that all isn't well.

Some time in the distant past and thus unremembered I believe I remember a modus of merely dragging highlighted emails from a stick to a WLM folder.  I have done that on two previous occasions, but it was in an XP machine, and in any event, I don't recall how I did it.  But, having successfully done it in the past, I assume I can do it again.

But first I have to move those thousand or so emails to my stick.

Exporting doesn't work (or I'm doing something wrong; the only choice I have in the export setup is which (sub)folder, or the entire email folder.

What steps do I take to successfully copy those emails, and then to put them somewhere else?

Thanks.
