Why does Windows Live Movie Maker give you the option to save a .wimp file to a "DVD" when all it does is create a .wmv file that will not play on a stand alone DVD player.  You need to somehow convert the created .wmv to a video_TS in order for all the proper files to be created in playable form for the dvd player.  When I went online for several sharewares, they sounded free, but when you load them up (beware the usual spyware) they want $50 or so to work with any file bigger than 50 mb.  Some help!

With all that being said, somehow one of my WLMM projects did manage to save itself as a .video_TS (don't ask me how, I can't manage to do that again). If memory serves I think I selected "DVD" but it hasn't worked since, nor any of the other options.  Are there any safe, reliable softwares out there---don't mind paying if they work! WLMM is totally worthless to me unless I can make a slideshow to give to friends etc so they can play it on their dvd.  Not everyone has a laptop and hdmi handy to jack into the flat screen like I have to do. Thanks, and Merry Christmas folks.
