I have several identities in Outlook 2011 that I wished to consolidate. I exported 2 of them to my desktop. I then imported one back into Outlook. After import I ran a script to delete duplicates in all folders, after which I rebuilt my database. When this was finished I clicked on the Main ID and nothing was there. I tried the other IDs and all of that data was gone as well. When I try to import the .olm file on my desktop the file is grayed out. What happened!? Even if I had done something weird with my Main Id why are all the other identities empty as well? Most importantly- how to I retrieve all my mail? Thank you

hi Guys
I have Outlook 2013 on my Windows PC, and there are at:
File --- > Options --- > E- mails ---- > Save Message
One option which is called : in reply to messages that are not in the Inbox , save the reply in the same folder .
My question there is, is this option for Outlook on MAC as well? Because I can not find it. Can u guys tell me where i can find this option?
Many thanks for your help !

Hi

I just moved from window to mac and bough my self office365 personal.

I’ve imported my pst file (16GB) to outlook 2011 (mac) and the import process run perfectly.

However when I opened the import folder It only  shown very few emails and the worst is, there were mostly from the old email files.

My first guess is because the difference file from outlook 2007 (pst) to outlook 2011 in mac (olm).

I tried to look up for pst converter to olm file software (in apple store or third party) but cannot find most suitable one.

anyone have similar problem and found the solution?, pls. share

many thanks!

Hi

I was running Office365 for Mac 2011 and using outlook as my standard mail client, it then forced me to move to Outlook 2016 but didn't pickup any of my mail file details.

Now i have both versions of Outlook running but 2011 telling me it will no longer connect with all my old mails and Outlook 2016 working but with only new mails

How do i force outlook 2016 to pick up the mail file from 2011?

Thanks

Unable to open outlook in my Mac. All other microsoft office programs work except outlook. Tried restrting the computer many times, no help
Split from this thread.

Hi Bob. I (too!) am trying to master Autocorrect in Outlook 2011 having just "evolved" from Outlook 2003... (OL 2011 seems to be a seriously inferior programme :( )...
If I right click on a misspelled word (I'm typing in French and obviously(!) using th French dictionary): if I type "reponse" it gets the red underline - so far so good.
I then right-click and I get offered "réponse" (and a couple of others)

So I want to add "réponse" to be Autocorrected however that isn't offered to me in the drop-down menu (as it was on OL 2003).

From you have written in the second part of your reply, I wondered if it happened automatically, but it doesn't, not even after restarting Outlook...
I'd be very grateful if you could tell me what I should be doing to get this REALLY important function to work.

Separate subject, but Cmd+Y doesn't work in OL 2011, is that normal?

Thanks in advance

J

In this particular thread the subject changed from how Autocorrect behaves in Word 2011 to how it behaves in OutLook 2011. So I as moderator moved this post where it might be better answered. Please note if a Forum owner or another moderator thinks it should be moved back, or, to another location please do so.

In Outlook Preferences (and in Account Tools - Advanced Menu) I don't have an option to "download complete message bodies." The closest option is "download headers only," which is unchecked. The only help I've found is to for option I don't have and my sent files only downloads headers. Outlook is v. 14.2.3. I had tremendous problems when I updated to 14.2.4 so I'm hoping I won't need to update the that version in order to find the option. Will appreciate any help someone can offer.

I originally posted this in the O365 for Mac forum, they recommended that I move it here. One of my users is having a bizarre issue where when she opens an email that she has already sent (from the sent folder), it opens it as if it was in the drafts folder. She can edit the email, and send it again (it comes through as 2 separate emails obviously). Any ideas why it is doing it, and even more pressing, any ideas on how to fix it?

Below is a (redacted) screenshot showing what she gets when she opens the email

Details (taken from original thread):

  1. Office Version: 2011
  2. Office Revision: 14.5.5 (150821)
  3. Account is an O365 E3 Exchange Acct
  4. Does not happen in OWA
  5. Only happening for this user (all emails when opened from sent folder)
  6. Yes, emails are sent out the first time.

Hi All,

I am trying to set a new IMAP account up via 123-Reg, all the credentials are correct (confirmed by 123-reg) but my account still shows as amber and does not accept/send mail.

Any ideas would be greatfully accepted.

Regards,
