I have just upgraded to El Capitan today and i cannot use my Outlook 2011. This is incredibly frustrating as this is my work MacBook and i cannot read or send any emails and the program crashes as soon as it is opened. the only thing that i can see is the spinning wheel and i have to force quit as the program is not responding.

When will this be fixed????

Hi

My outlook repeatedly crashes after El Capiton Upgrade. Its been very irritating. It went on crashing multiple times.

Can anyone please leave us with a solution on this?

Hello,

I am trying to search for an email based on the contents of a pdf that was attached to it.  The pdf has already be opened in preview and adobe reader.  However, when I search it returns no results.

This same functionality works fine on my Windows machines as well as on the Apple Mail application.  I am wondering if I have to change some settings around or if this feature is even possible on this device.

Outlook 2011 for mac is stuck after the update to El Capitan, today
Upgraded my Mac to the official latest release of El Capitan now my Outlook 2011 freezes trying to connect to exchange. Cannot Upgrade to Office 2016 due to the Exchange being 2007 and is not supported. If I quickly turn outlook to Offline all is well except don't get emails. As soon as I turn if Online after 5-10 seconds I get the constant spinning Wheel. This happens on both Macbook Pro and iMac. Common Microsoft you knew El Capitan was being released so why has nothing been done to rectify the problem before the official release of El Capitan. Catch a WAKE UP!!!! Very Slack!!!! No wonder I hate Microsoft. Back to iMail it is for now then.

Are you getting any error message while using outlook or while sendinf / receiving emails?

If so then include the complete exact error message and also when you get this.

I have the same problem Arshad Kahn.  The error message I get is:

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).  The server responded: -ERR Exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period.

I don't know who to contact.  My email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** if that gives you any information.  I assume it is msn.com but I don't know how to get in touch with the server administrator, or if there is even one I can talk to.

Thanks.

When I purchased my iMac and set up my email accounts - I have 4 in total - all emails sent or received would automatically be in their own folder in my inbox.  Due to a power cut about 1 month ago my iMac turned off and since that moment all emails go straight into my in box now, completely muddled up, and the original separate account folders have gone.  I cannot seem to get the separate folders back to keep the email accounts separate - can anybody help please?
