Through all the numerous questions, answers and comments on the internet regarding the inability for Outlook 2011 to run on Mac's new OS version - El Capitan, there is no information as to any timeline for a fix.  This issue is killing me and my business, and I absolutely do not want to switch to Apple's mail program if I can avoid it!!!  Has anyone heard if Microsoft and/or Apple are working on this serious problem, and if so, any idea of how soon a fix might be available?

Good day,

I think I may have discovered a work-around to Outlook 2011 becoming unstable on El Capitan.  I opened a Safari connection to our corporate OWA site and authenticated and connected to my inbox.  I then leave Safari connected and open but minimize Safari.

I then open Outlook 2011 and everything works like it should.  It has been working perfectly for the entire day today, so at least I can do my work again.

This has worked for me, so I hope it helps.  As soon as I close Safari and the OWA connection, then Outlook becomes unstable and crashed and I need to force it close.

I trust that this will work.

After update my mac computer with the new system el captain, outlook doesn't work any more, outlook is freeze.

How can i solve this issue.

Mauricio

Microsoft has indicated that its a bug and that they are aware of it.

It is stopping my productivity and I am paying for an Office 365 Licence that I can't use properly.

Really not impressed.

When will this be solved??

Hello I use Outlook 2011 for Mac. I created folders on my computer in order to move them from the exchange server. Now I need to migrate to outlook 365, where can I find these folders? I want to move them to an external drive

Since upgrading to OS X El Capitan, Microsoft Outlook 14.5.5 will not remember it's window size after I close and reopen, or quit and restart the program.

I am not having any window size problems with any other applications or folders.

Please help....

Can  you give me a solution for outlook 2011 its hangs up after every 5 min, after i installed EL Capita New Mac OS 10.11, the spinning Wheel comes on the screen after every 5 min and i have to quite the outlook and open again, this is very frustrating i seek for a solution to this.

After upgrading to OS X 10.11 El Capitan I have no access to my Exchange-server email accounts, although I have access to the Exchange calendar functionality within different calendar applications. Is this issue known to Microsoft? Any solutions already? This problem is not limited to Outlook.

Thanks for your help.

I open outlook and it works for around 10 seconds. Then the cursor changes to the multi-colored loading wheel and outlook freezes. I can't scroll, open email, anything. I use Outlook every day for work and need to get this resolved as soon as I can. It started today after I upgraded my Mac to the new OS X El Capitan. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone else furious that there is no solution from Microsoft for this yet?
