Question about Outlook Express

Hi seeing the error box below on every Send and receive action in Outlook for Office 2011 on a Mac.

Can find very little about this error, does it signal the incoming or outgoing message has an error, or that there is a corrupted message somewhere in the database.

If the latter, how do we isolate the corrupted message, the database has already been rebuilt.

I am running MacOSX Yosemite 10.10.5 and Office 2011 v14.5.6 (and Office 2016 v15.15.0)

Since having installed 14.5.6 and running Office365-v15.15.0 my Outlook-2011 does not startup any longer. I thought that the latest update 14.5.7 may solve this problem. But I cannot install this update. It says: A version which is needed for installing this update is not present on my machine ... sorry, this is nonsense.

Anyone else facing this problem? – any idea?

Am using Office for Mac 2011 on my MacBook. Recently I noticed some Russian text in my Outlook-Calendar...see below.

Asked around and understood that it means My Events. Question I have now is why this is written in Russian. Does anyone else have the same? 

I already asked Apple...response was straightforward...Outlook is a Microsoft product....Ask them ;-(

Outlook has crashed again. If I choose the highlighted Main Identity, it takes me back to 2013 and more than a year of emails are lost. Which Identity should I choose to ensure I restore the fullest possible email list? I have tried several; some are 4GB others 8GB indicating some do not include Sent files?

When adding a shared calendar in outlook for MAC i get sync errors on an event which will not go and keeps adding.

It only appears to show in outlook for MAC and the permissions are set to reviewer? 

The error is: permission error, changes to the event " could not be saved because you do not have the appropriate permissions "

I have tried to clear the cache on the device and still appears, i have even cancelled the event in the calendar and it still brings up the error

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Outlook crashed again yesterday. First, all images disqappeared, replaced by the ?. Normally this is cured by re-starting the computer, but immediately Outlook automatically began rebuilding the Main Identity and the database. The identity it chose was December 2013, so all emails from that date until today were lost. Then I found Outlook had somehow done this twice. Connecting to my ISP, Outlook downloaded 1534 e-mails which proved to be 767 twice.Connecting to my ISP, Outlook downloaded 1534 e-mails, which proved to be 767 twice.

Today I tried to rebuild the identity by going back in Time Machine to half a day before the crash. But the problem was which Identity to chose to Restore. There are 36 identities in Documents>MS user data>Office 2011 Identities. I chose the latest dated backup, but when I hit Restore in Time Machine, I did not get the option to save to Desktop (where I should re-name it and drag it into the Identities folder)

I then tried to rebuild the database by selecting the latest backup in the Identities folder, but again, this took me back to 2013, not the date of the backup (July 2015). I've now got a gap of a year in my Inbox, and no Sent items since October 2013. In the left side panel, under Net, there is an ever-increasing list of Inbox 1, Inbox 1.1, Inbox 1.1.1, Inbox 1.1.1.1 etc till it starts Inbox 2, 2.1 etc...

What I need to do is restore and rebuild the database where it was at the last time all emails were correctly in place. But which Identity to choose? What to do - try to restore from Time Machine or rebuild from the folder?  This is the third time this has happened, and each time I lose a chunk of emails.

This is Outlook 2011 for Mac running on a Powerbook Pro i7 Retina 

Outlook is version 14.5.7

Mac OSX is 10.11 El Capitan

Itunes is running and up to date

It appears that contacts and calendar from "on my computer" are not syncing.

As i understand this, Sync Services is responsible for copying these items from Outlook to Calendar and Contacts?

Sync Services is running. I have reset it, and replaced all of the .plist preference files. I have ensured that my Sync Servers settings in Outlook are on and functioning.

I have monitored Sync Services using the Activity Monitor and see that when I make additions to the Outlook Calendar on the "on my computer" side there is increases activity on Sync Services as shown on Activity Monitor. I also see files updating in the Application Support/Calendar folder. I'm guessing these are resulting from my changes and Sync Services.

I also have an Exchange Server and I can place calendar items into my calendar on the Exchange calendar and they will update to the Mac Calendar application and show up on my iPhone. I cannot state that this is a result of Exchange, Sync Services, or iTunes. I can only say that it works.

I have cleared all of the calendar files by shutting down calendar items on each accounts setup in systems preference "Internet Accounts" - doing a Safe Boot and then restarting everything. I verified that all accounts disappeared in Calendar after I did this and were re-established when I reset the Calendar setting in Internet Accounts.

I ran Cocktail to verify permissions and clear all cache files for system and applications.

I have rebuilt the Outlook database using the utility.

I have rebuilt Spotlight.

I have read and implemented most everything i can find dating back for the last two years on various boards around the internet for this topic.

Naturally I'm open to ideas at this point and ready to redo anything that I may have missed.

My conclusion right now is that something didn't get fixed in Sync Services when El Capitan came out. Outlook was having trouble syncing - with Exchange is the theory - but Outlook tries to sync with a lot of things when it first starts up and so it might have been that syncing with El Capitan Calendar and Contacts was the actual problem which got disabled in V10.5.6 - that is the update that "fixed" the well-publicized hanging issue with Outlook and El Capitan. But then immediately comes 10.5.7 with nothing in the description that alludes to any relationship to the syncing issues. So clearly I have little or no real information and just some conjecture that says perhaps syncing from Outlook to Calendar and Contacts isn't working because of Sync Services.

BTW - can anyone confirm whose product is Sync Services? is it Apple or MS?

I had copied my product key and placed it in my contact listing for Microsoft. My computer had been hacked including my email accounts, as well as being remotely controlled for months. I was preoccupied with my sister dying of cancer rather being concerned for things like computer security(other things also were happening). I believe almost to the fact that my product key has been used multiple times illegally without my knowledge. I need to find out who(IP addresses) have done this and when. I am still struggling with being cyberbullied and harasses/intimidated. I hope you can help me get this information as I will use this information to shame a number of fellow classmates to break the silence of what some of my 'friends' had done to me.
