Immediately after updating to El Capitan all my contacts in Outlook 2011 disappeared.  Outlook also keeps going into non-respond.  I can live with Outlook non-responding but can't live without my contacts.  Does anyone know how I can retrieve them?

The moment I upgraded to El Capitan, like so many others, the trouble with Outlook for Mac 2011 began. But I've now completed all the Microsoft Office updates (14.5.8) and all the El Capitan updates (10.11.1). But still Outlook crashes -- quits and restarts itself -- at least 10 times a day. How can I get the crashing to stop? How can I return Outlook to its former, stable, reliable status? Someone suggested the problem is Mac 2011 itself and I should upgrade to Office 2016. Is this the right way to go on this? If not, what might be the best solution? Thank you for any and all help. -Jeff

I originally had the beachball of death that others had when they upgraded to Mac OS X version 10.11 but it has since been solved with various updates. Right now I am having an issue where I cannot search for emails. I do this constantly, but now when I search for anything that I know I have results for it tells me "No Results".

I'm not sure if this only happens to me because I did something wrong in my installation of office, or is it because of the Mac OS X El Capitan. Do you think everyone is racist so they're not supporting the Spanish version of a Mac OS? Well, that's besides the point. :-)

This is very frustrating. Please help me!!! Thank you kindly.

Hi there,

Next morning after 'force quit' of my Apple laptop iBook pro mid 2012; my Outlook  did not work.

I've tried everything. On my Outlook I have many important messages - in Inbox and Sent folders.

My question is:

If I uninstall my 'Office: mac 2011' and reinstall it again: Will I loose all my valuable information (inbox and sent folders)?
Or will they be saved somewhere on my laptop and automatically uploaded upon new installation?

I do not want nasty surprises and errasure of my three years of communication!

Please, let me know would unistall and reinstal sort out my problem with no loss of data?

Best, Jay_62

My outlook started crashing yesterday.  It doesn't give any detail just Outlook has experienced an error and has to close with a warning that I may lose any unsaved work.  I am using OS X Lion 10.7.5.  It was fine before I did the last critical update.  Please help.

I am hoping this thread moved in its entirety To Outlook. Somehow was posted to Excel 2011 Forum instead of Outlook 2011.
