Dear Community,

I can not import folders with To Do´s and neither single To Do´s from my colleagues. Do you have a clue how I can do this? Where is it in the menu bar?

With the windows version it is possible.

Thanks a lot for a litte help!

Hi,

The issue I have is with Outlook for Mac 2011.

I have set some rules that basically copy emails that I receive from my server to the local "On My Computer" cache.

The issue which a couple of my colleagues and I are currently having is that there are some emails (roughly 5 emails out of like 40 emails a day) do not get copied to the "On My Computer" cache while the other emails get copied completely fine.

Please let me know if there are any solutions for this as it is happening on a daily basis which is causing our users to be very frustrated.

Thanks,

Pak

Hi guys,

I have the following problem. I have an iMac where I use outlook 2011. I had several e-mail accounts. I have deleted one mail account.

Where is it possible that the e-mails are stored on the macbook?

Apart from deleting the account I deleted nothing and continued using for some time the outlook with other mails.

How can I get access to the archive? Which directory can I find it. How can I read these messages again?

Thanks a lot for every help!

Philipp

So somebody sent me an .olm file and I couldn't open it. I started to download a couple of olm viewers but when I eventually got one to open the file, it opened it and gave me all the contacts and the entire inbox and sent items of this person?

I got a bit of a shock because I feel like I hacked their computer. How could this have happened?

The thing that opened it is called Systools Outlook Mac Exporter

I have Outlook 2011 installed on a MacBook Air setup with an Exchange email account. Everything has worked fine with no issues at all for the last year or so until now...

When I open Outlook I am unable to move messages from one folder to another (within the exchange, not locally) and I am unable to rename new or existing folders.

When I try and move messages they just stay in the existing folder and if I try and rename a folder it flashes with editable text for a second or so and then just goes back as if I clicked off.

Sometimes in the bottom right corner it keeps switching from saying "checking folders" to "folders up to date". It's as if the server is constantly refreshing itself and stopping me from doing anything.

If I set Outlook to work offline everything works perfectly, I can move things around and rename with no issues. It's only when working online that this happens.

Any ideas?

Every time I open Outlook it opens in a small window.   I resize the window and adjust my columns etc and have tried to close the app and yet when I reopen it, the wind is small and the column are not where i left them.

How do you fix the size of the window on a MAC with office 2011's outlook?

Good Day,

When I compose a message, Outlook for Mac 2011  (on Mac OS 101.10) automatically adds in an attachment in the format of x-apple-msg-attachment.

It doesn't affect me but annoys everyone I email as they try to open it.

Anyway to stop this happening?

Any idea how to reinstall Office 2011 for Mac when tech support tells you that the product key you have is not valid (which is also displayed when I try to reinstall it, so helpful!) and I am told there is no way to get the correct product key. I currently have the original box, original receipt, pin, etc. The product key worked the first time I installed the product however it does not work when I try to reinstall it. Currently I have $127.00 worth of a paperweight. Help, please.

I've been using Outlook 2011 for Mac for several years. Checking numerous IMAP email accounts with no issues. All of a sudden towards the end of Oct it's started acting up.

It only occurs on my Gmail accounts.

An email will arrive after the first initial sync, it's marked as unread.

After the next sync, it will mark it as read regardless if it's been read or not.

All other non-Gmail accounts are working fine. The issue has only affected Gmail.

I've created a new identity and it works the same way with it as well.

I'm also using other devices to check the same Gmail accounts and they are working correctly. If the email is left unread it says unread. If I read it and then decide to mark it as unread, it will do this and stay unread until read again. All is good there on the other devices.

Only when Outlook is ran and the second sync is made will it mark Gmail emails as read regardless.

During this I also began seeing this error within Outlook for my Gmail accounts.

"Outlook cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct.

Error Code -3170"
