It is shocking to see that my contents of Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 is wiped out for the Yahoo Account. I have the Microsoft outlook version 14.3.9 (131030) in my Mac Book Air and i am using this application for many years. This morning i have opened this application to realise that the Yahoo account is not in the MS Outlook and all the contents (including the messages, Rules, Contacts, Calendars etc for the only Yahoo account is empty. I did use this application last night without any problem.
Could someone please guide me, how to get the contents back. My last backup was Sep 2014, which i can import it by setting up the account again. But, where and how to look for the actual and last contents in my computer.
Many Thanks in advance.
I know there have been many threads on this -
and it appeared that last update cured the problem for most - but...
I update my new Imac to el capitan weeks ago - immediately had an issue with outlook and spinning rainbow wheels.. the recommended service pack cured my outlook issues and I seemed to be operating fine. Recently I cleaned up my macbook pro and set it up at my home office - el capitan already downloaded I proceeded to download the service pack then installed exchange...
that was 3 days ago... No error codes just continually downloading and syncing ( 3 days without the computer going to sleep )
additionally me imac that was working great now has the same symptoms and while it tries to sync I am not receiving new emails
both machines are up to date with v14.5.8
and I know my exchange is working correctly because webmail, iphone and ipad are all sync'd
Microsoft wants a $500 fee to look at the problem??! you would think as soon as I said el capitan and office 2011 they would waive that
anyone know of any recent fixes.. everything I have seen here is dated early October?
thank you

Can't receive emails in my msn account. Can receive emails in my gmail account & live.com account. How can I fix this situation? I've tried everything that I know of.

Yesterday my mother in law asked me if I could archive her email for her. She uses Hotmail and views it in Outlook 2011 for Mac. I used the export function within Outlook, created the .olm file with all her emails, removed them from hotmail, and then imported the .olm back into Outlook. At first glance it appeared that everything was fine. Fast forward to this morning and she informed me that while all the email headers, To/From, and subject lines were indeed there, the majority of emails contained no messages. There is no rhyme or reason to which emails have message content and which ones don't.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
