Hello,

I recently did a clear-out & deleted 1000's of old emails & got rid of them all in my "deleted" file too, on my Macbook air Outlook 2011.

Now one of my emails won't synch. I can see on my phone that I have received lots of emails, but when I click the "send/receive" tab it gets stuck on "updating message list" . I can send email from this account, but not receive them.

Can anyone help?

I have a pretty large mailbox that for some reason has many duplicate mails. I think my original import from my Windows machine failed and the older mails from 2009 to 2011 appear at least twice in both "Sent" and "Inbox".

I've tried the AppleScript "Remove Duplicates v2.1" but it _always_ causes Outlook to crash, unless I select maybe 50 mails at a time. With 47,000 mails this is not a solution.

Is there a way I can remove these duplicates from the "Data Records" folder via some shell script and then rebuild the database?

I asked this question a different way the other day.  But it boils down to this:

Safe domains are stored in a folder I assume.  I thought they were stored a subfolder of the Main Identity's Data Records.  I copied all the subfolder to a new Identity and the safe domains were the only thing that didn't show up.

Any ideas, suggestions, information for finding my safe domains?

Thanks,

George

My Outlook is frozen since I updated to El Capitan (just in the last few days).  I searched online, and Microsoft had an update 14.5.6 that was supposed to fix this issue, but the link from Microsoft's download page is not working.  I had waited to updated for a few months assuming that all bugs would have been worked out.  The only option I seem to have is to force shutdown my entire computer and restart Outlook.  It sometimes works for a bit but then freezes up again.

Please help!!

Hello, I'm using office for mac 2011 on a macbook air running OSX El Capitan 10.11.2

For some reason, I'm being told that the security settings are not suitable to run my gmail account through it. I'm trying to remove my gmail account but when I go to preferences> accounts or tools> accounts I can't select the account to delete it and then outlook crashes.

I'd just like to delete the account as I'm mostly using hotmail for now and am tired of being asked for my gmail password every 5 seconds and outlook keeping crashing.

Can anyone help?

Last december I upgraded my MacBookPro to OS X El Capitan (10.11.2) and Outlook 2011 crashes all the time. I have run the 3098229 Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.5.6 update and it still hangs (spinning wheel) once it tries to sync with the server (it works fine offline, though). Any clue how to fix that?

My Outlook 2011 on my Mac for some reason stopped putting copies of my sent emails into my Sent Items, but if I look in my inbox i see the sent email in the conversation thread.  I've already rebuilt the database, any other ideas?  Anyone ever seen this before?

Looking in webmail, the emails do not show in Sent Items either.

I tried looking in Tools > Accounts > Advanced button > Folders tab > Sent drop-down, but Folders is not the middle tab like i saw in some articles online.

Is there anything that will convert a olm file to pst?

I've tried the software that claims to do so but doesn't open the files I currently have in the .olm format.

I created lists in my contacts...they are exported files from outlook on my Mac and are exported as an .olm file.

I can't open this file.

When I tried to use the trial downloads of two different olm to pst conversion software, it wouldn't work.

Any ideas to help?? Thank you!

I have exported me emails to Outlook for Mac Archive.olm file and by mistake I asked to delete the emails during the export process.

when I tried to import the emails again from the same file it does the job and it takes like 20 minutes to import it ans when it is done, no emails are shown back in to my email folders.

Thank you in advance.
