I installed El Capitan. Updated Office (v 14.6.0).
Outlook still works, but the search function only works for dates after the date of installation.
Is there a workaround for this?

Help, my GoDaddy IMAP email can not be sent from my 2011 Outlook. (It can be received, but not sent. Other emails can be both sent and received. When I checked with GoDaddy, everything is running ok from their side. It will sync properly to my iPhone, just not my Outlook.)
When I researched online and through my applications for a solution, I noticed that my Microsoft PlugIn is missing. When I tried to update my Outlook, I was notified that "the update can't be installed because a version of the software required to install the update was not found on this volume." See below for screen grabs. What should I do???

After update to ElCapitan on the MacBook Pro, Outlook stays open for a few minutes then indicates a rebuild is necessary, it shuts down and opens the MS database utility, which runs for an hour then indicates a failure.
Has anyone have a repair for this?
Chris

I am currently using outlook for mac 2011.
My main identity is getting bigger and bigger.
Now it is around 400gb+ and getting to 500gb.
I will require all the data inside but i would like to do a backup just in case the outlook crash again and i do not have enough space for the database to rebuild.
I was thinking of using Time Machine to a backup.
But i heard that when restored from Time Machine, it will need to rebuild. I doubt i will have the space for it.
Is there any alternatives? Something like "creating pst and put all the mails in" kind of thing? I have an hard disk which i used for time machine backup...
I need some advices pls...
This past week, I was trying to upgrade from Entourage 2008 to Outlook 2011. A microsoft help desk tech logged into my system and accidentally deleted the wrong file which I didn't know at first and she had me empty the trash can on the macbook air. in the mean time, my back up crashed, so I can't find that file anywhere.
has this happened to anyone and were you able to get it back?
I use my own company's e-mail in Outlook 2011 for Mac.
I noticed the e-mails 1 year old have disappeared from my folders. It matches exactly 1 year before the current date.
I checked with my server provider and by default setup, emails are never deleted from the server.
I use it in IMAP set up as I also use in my iPhone with apple mail. I never had problems using IMAP in 3 devices (phone, webmail and Outlook)
I was forced to delete my Outlook account to avoid loose more e-mails. Now i can only access the webmail to avoid more important emails been deleted. I wanna re-activate my Outlook, but so far still didn't find any solution for my lost mails.
At second I deleted the account from the phone too, and so far no more e-mails has been deleted.
I tried to check any automatic archive set up/rules in my outlook, but so far didn't afind anything. I'm using IMAP default setup.
It's really strange!! I'd like to know if anybody else has encountered same problem and what's the solution.
I recently installed Office for Mac 2011 Home & Business because I wanted to update from Office for Mac 2008. Both are still on my computer.
I have 1 problem and 1 question:
Problem: I don't know how to make Outlook my default email program. My emails are going to my Entourage 2008, not Outlook 2011. I was able to import all my emails from Entourage to Outlook without any problems.
Question: How can I get my Outlook calendar to sync with my calendar on my Mac or my iPhone.
