At work I just migrated to a Macbook Air and am running Office 2011.  In outlook I have created the OML archive folder - with various subfolders.  In the old windows version I had rule for certain system generated emails to automatically be sent to the appropriate subfolder in my archive folder. When setting up the rule I simply just navigated to the folder and it was automatically set.

With Outlook 2011 for Mac when I try to set up such rules I have to type in the folder name (can't navigate).  A message comes up that the folder cannot be found.  Hopefully, there is some workaround, I really need these emails to be automatically moved.

Another item --- it is a real pain to customize emails by change fonts, bolding etc.  In the windows version there were many ribbon icons and options that allowed easy customization.  In this version you have to click drop downs to make the selections and there is no paint option to copy formats.  The customization options of the toolbar/ribbon are very limited.  Is there not so obvious ways to add more advanced customization.  It seems very primitive.

I am currently using Microsoft Outlook 2011 on my Mac I want to upgrade - where / how can I upgrade to14.6.0

Thank you.

Recently Outlook has started marking unread messages as read if the inbox is open. This never used to happen before. In preferences under reading tab I have Mark mail as read - When opened in a separate window as it always has been. Its the same pop email acct I have had for years and to the best of my knowledge I haven't made any changes. What is causing incoming unread emails to be marked as read? Please note that I stated above that I have Mark mail as read - When opened in a separate window selected.
When I downloaded update for office and tried to close software as requested, two did not close.  How do you close database daemon and sync services agent?

Hi

My I-Mac 10.11.3 ( Updated 31/01/2016 )

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2011 on my desktop. I - Mac; all of a sudden I cannot log into to retrieve emails. I try and log in and it just shows the icon for a few seconds then vanished. However I am able to read emails that have been sent on my I-Pad, Macbook and phone. E-mails that have been sent already I cannot see on my other machine.

I have tried rebooting and reseting NVRAM - all to no avail. I am stressing a bit as there are some important emails that came through and I need to reply and I have no way of accessing Outlook - any suggestion, ideas please?

I do not have a disc to reboot. Any advise? I need to access the emails as there are important emails which I saw and have nor replied to. I hope this is as clear as I can make it.

Thanks ( and yes I am desperate

Anthony.

Hello. I have Office 2011.

I have successfully set up two accounts in Outlook. One is mine and the other my husbands.

Both send and receive just fine.

However, we do not have our own inboxes. There is just one inbox into which all the mails go. How can I set up an inbox for my husband's mails?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Pauline

I bought this software via App Store september 2011.

Since there I use Excel, Word and Powerpoint. They are running well.

Now I tried to use Outlook, too. But neither the Pod.-ID shown in the screen "Über Word" etc. nor the

Prod-Key (25 characters) will be valid in Outlook.

I'm very frustrated!

What can I do?

Thanks for help.

I've got the latest version of OS X Yosemite, and the search function on Outlook 2011 doesn't work at all (it doesn't show any results or it shows a big list and slowly all the items disappear).

I've read some old posts for this same problem, but for the Lion operating system. Any suggestions please?

Many thanks!

I keep getting a system request to update my windows 2011 for Mac to version 14.6.0 that came out on 1/12/16.  However I noticed on 1/15/16 several people wrote in with problems on outlook or Word.  Can anyone tell me if these issues have been fixed and is it now safe to install this latest version?

Many thanks in advance.

I am using MS Outlook for Mac 2011, and I would like to be able to customize the ribbon.  There are icons on the ribbon that I don't use, and I want to remove them.  In addition, I want to move the Delete button to the end of the ribbon, as far to the right as possible.  I hope that someone can help!
