I have a mystery.  Gmail for Business.  El Capitan 10.11.3.  Outlook 14.6.0.

I have a new identity and new user created.

When re-synced the IMAP accounts, there were messages in my Starred folder with Reminder flags, but without the actual reminder date.  I was told by the forum moderator that I'd have to recreate the due dates, but I must not have done that properly.

I assumed that the Reminder-flagged messages in the Starred folder could be set with a Due Date and Reminder Date, and moved to the appropriate folder for followup.  It now appears that the Starred folder may just be a label or reflection of the message status, as shown of another folder.

When those messages in the Starred folder were set with a Reminder date and dragged to any of my named folders, the red Reminder flag showed up for a few minutes and then vanished.  But I didn't know that the reminder flag was being reset until days later when I didn't get the Reminder.

It appears that the if I find the message in the actual folder and reset the Due Date and Reminder Date that the message stays flagged properly.  Can anyone confirm this?

Is there anything else that I need to do, consider, etc.?

Thanks!

I'm outraged by the fact that I don't see attachments that colleagues send me in MS Outlook for Mac, 2011.  All I see is a paper clip with the words Winmail.dat.  Fortunately, I still have my Dell laptop running Windows, or I wouldn't be able to receive my attachments at all!  What do I need to do (short of getting rid of this I-Mac) in order to view the e-mail attachments I receive???

I have an unsent meeting invite that I created on Outlook for Windows.  It is to a recurring meeting, with multiple attendees.  I've changed the time, but I want to save the meeting invite without sending so that I can get more information before I finalize the wording and timing of the invitation.  Assembling the list of invitees was non-trivial, so I don't want to discard it and start over.

All the "Save" options are grayed out, and when I try to close the window it says that my choices are to continue editing, to discard the invite, or to send it.

How do I save the invite without sending, and how do I avoid this problem in the future?

my microsoft office outlook doesn't connect anymore. Don't know why, haven't done anything. The El Capitan update I received was around 6th feb.

please help

Hello,

I have an HTML email signature with a linked image and linked text. When replying to plain-text emails, these hyperlinks are converted to URLs. This looks messy and I would rather not include the linked text at all. Is there a way to edit the plain-text version of the signature separately from the HTML version, similar to this: http://www.howtogeek.com/174724/how-to-modify-a-signature-for-use-in-plain-text-emails-in-outlook-2013/

I've located the signature files in /Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/Data Records, but unlike the files referenced in the tutorials above, these signature files have a .olk14Signature extension and no matching .txt file.

Any help here would be appreciated!

Is there currently any plugin for Office 2011 Outlook users ? Universal Mailer plugin is just for Mail.app users right?

I have a client the is not getting meeting invites on his outlook inbox. I know there are forums on this but none are mac specific and I am not finding an answer. He does not have any delegates. I set his Arranged by to default. I have turned off show in groups. He is getting the request on his iPhone.  Just not in out look. Is there any other mac changes that i can do to correct this? I have added his account to another computer and he does not see them there either. I'm at a loss. Can someone help me with this? The setting are just different on the mac.

Spell check is pretty poor compared to Mail. Any way to improve? to get correction options offered?

Thanks

Over the last two weeks a number of calendar items and messages (both sent and retrieved) have been disappearing from my Outlook 2011 for Mac. I have rebuilt the database and they don't return. In some cases I remember some of the text and search it with Spotlight and it finds a message but when I try to open it I get the message "Outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity." However, I have only one identity (Main Identity).

I am using Outlook for Mac V 14.6.0 and Mac OS X 10.10.5

I am using Outlook 2011 on my mac. I have configured my emails through IMAP and whenever my email count goes above 300 i archive it to another folder located in my HDD. Now as the size has gone up I am planning to relocate couple of my folders to and external HDD. Can any one suggest me on how to move my certain folders to an external HDD from my Mac HDD?
