I have a MacBook 3.1 with OS 10.6.8 Leopard with MS Office 2011 installed.  I had so many problems with Verizon email that I changed over to a gmail account. Verizon was not happy about that because I also changed my cell phone service. I finally got the new email account working for about 2 weeks, when

Outlook crashed after the 14.6.1 update.  Now Outlook cannot open.  At first Outlook provided the message that there was a Daemon Error and that it had to close. I notified Microsoft of the errors several times. Now, after several efforts and advice from others, on line, it doesn't open at all.  Just a flash of the icon.  What are my options to fix this?  Luckily I have backed up my data on a weekly basis.

Under El Capitan, I cannot print anymore e-mails in Outlook for Mac (Office for Mac 2011). After giving the printing command, the button is vibrating, but the window to select the printer is not popping up.

This is only the case for e-mails. I can print agenda and contacts in that Outlook package. I also can print Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents.

After I upgrading to El Capitan, it was possible to print e-mails, but after some weeks it became impossible.

For a week now I have been unable to send and receive email using Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac. It happened suddenly, and I can't detect a reason for it. I've removed all emails that were trying to send (but were sent to 'draft' when they couldn't go). I've tried creating a new identity and that also doesn't work. I've tried installing fixes, they don't help (or won't install). I am receiving the same emails from my work's exchange server on my phone (so know that this is working fine). I've turned the phone off, to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

I really need to sort this out as working through Outlook Microsoft Access is a pain.

Hi,

I have signaled this in August and then October, so it is not some event that happens often.

I send an email to someone who answers me.

That email arrive on my IMAP server.

I read it on my iPhone.

Then I want to answer on my mac with outlook and I discover that the email NEVER reached the outlook inbox.

It is difficult to notice as one as to have an email on the iPhone and try to answer it later on the outlook for mac 2011.

It happens regularly.

The only suggestion I had was to rebuild the Identity, but does that mean that we need to rebuild the identity every day or every month.

Last time I try to rebuild the identity more emails went missing from the new one so I came back to the old one.

So is there a way to guaranty that email are received when ones is on IMAP?

Is there a way to get the missed emails, once ones as noticed it ?

There is a way which is to transfer it, but then I cannot reply and it doesn't show the right sender.

I was hoping it was part of the issue with the El CAPITAN upgrade, but it obviously still happens.

I just discovered that when I move the email to an other folder in the inbox, then it magically appears on the corresponding folder in outlook and i then can put it back to the inbox.

So for the time being, the turnaround I am thinking of is to move on outlook ONLY all the emails from the inbox folder to an other one.

That way, the one not in the outlook inbox but in the iPhone inbox will be seen obviously as leftovers.

I have set up an email merge by following the instruction on MS support site.  Everything seems to be set up correctly.  I have done letter merges before that worked just fine.  However once I click the button "Mail Merge to Outbox"  nothing happens.  Outlook is my default mail client.  I must be missing something even though I have gone through the set process several times.

I am using office 2011 for Mac.  I have an email account through Blue Host.   I followed the set up procedure, but may have made a mistake.  When I attempt to send a test email to make sure it is working, I can see the progress worm advance on the outbox tab, but it does not send.  It also does not give me an error message or any indication as to why not.  I can receive mail, though.

Hello. I recently upgraded my hard drive and memory in my MBP 15". I reinstalled Office 2011 due to Outlook issue I had. In addition to an Exchange account, I also use two Gmail accounts. I was able to re-set those up in the fresh Outlook 2011 install, and the Inbox items have properly restored, but I am not finding my "Sent items" from the Gmail accounts.

Note the Gmail accounts were previously set up in Outlook as POP3 accounts, so that is how I re-set them up here. (I seemed to have some conflicts with IMAP setup previously- wanted all mail to go into 1 inbox). I selected Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) in the Gmail account settings. Again, I appears that this has refilled my Outlook Inbox correctly, but I still am not finding previously Sent mail from the Gmail account (in the Outlook account).

Am I missing something obvious? or do I need to somehow export the sent items from Gmail and reload them into Outlook?

Thanks in advance for the help!
