My email address name reads as "Mac User" <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***> which was never knowingly set-up ... and is not found under my Contacts. How do I change back to reflect my real name?

I am on MacBook Air using Outlook for Mac 2011 ... Version 14.3.9 (131030)

Hi

I have a large quantity of archived emails in my 'On My Computer' folders in Outlook for mac 2011. I am upgrading to Office 365 Outlook for Mac into which I need to import this archive so that I can still have access to the emails.

I understand that there is an export facility in Outlook 2011 but it doesn't let me just pick "on my computer' folders and I don't want my live (exchange) mailbox to be included. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

How do I get the worthless junk mail feature actually disabled?

I normally clean my sent files, and I noticed that one from last year is still there. I tried to delete, nothing. There is a long message that says boundary at the end. I searched for this file and found it in the finder. I deleted manually, and outlook started crashing. I rebuilt the identity and it fixed the annoying  "Microsoft Outlook must close"

But the sent file is still there, showing in my outlook box, in spite of deleting it.

Is there a solution to get rid this once and for all.

After updating my Mac desktop computer with Outlook 2011 update 14.6.1, I began receiving 5,000 plus emails I thought I had permanently deleted over the past three years from my email accounts!  Additionally, my contacts were gone back to 2012.

I read on here somewhere to go back and rebuild the previous identity, which I did and it fixed most of the problem.  At least my contacts were back and my most recent emails were returned but I lost my emails for the month between identity changes.  Then a few days later, my contacts were gone again, my emails seemed to be okay and my calendar okay, but something was up with my gmail mail account as I was receiving double copies of everything.  I deleted and reset and that seems fixed.

I still need my contacts back.  I tried to recover from the time machine and my back up drive, but the program won't permit me to "restore" anything.  I tried to rebuild again from a couple of the more recent identity folders with no success.

I am wondering where my contacts are.  Were they deleted or have they been swiped?

Also, in my Identities folder, the names of the older identity folders are labeled "Main Identity" and the later backup folders are only labeled "S."  I don't have a clue what that is all about.

I would really appreciate some help here.

I did update Outlook on the same day I updated my OS to El Capitan 10.11.3 which may not have been a good idea as then everything started crashing constantly all over the place.  Many of the kinks seem to be getting worked out but I still need my contacts!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Has anyone else encountered the frustration of the automatic update alert telling you to update what has already been updated?

If so how do you kill it?

My fear is the last time this happened it was a warning of a major Outlook crash. A catastrophe where I lost thousands of email but more importantly where my MS Office profile was destroyed. Created a monster of problem because the "deceased" profile would not expire.

It took 4 days to get back access to all Office components. Almost pushed back me into Windows. Now I just avoid Outlook for Mac completely.

I have multipleLibraries that I wish to consolidate. I cannot find anywhere how to do so.

Dear Support,

I have Mac EI Capitan and Office 2011 14.4.2 installed in mac. Since today i could not see any mail in my Outlook 2011 inbox, but i can see all mails in rest folder like sent items, draft, deleted items. only inbox emails are not showing.

when i search an email in inbox folder then those emails appears in inbox, but i cleared text from search engine again all emails disappears. If i apply filter then also i can see emails in inbox but when i clear filter the all emails disappears. On inbox folder i can see there are 22 unread messages but in inbox it is blank. please help in resolving this issue.

These appear at the bottom of Outlook 2011 MAC OS EL CAPITAN All indications are that it isn't a MAC or AVG issue, any ideas?

Would appreciate help with Outlook. After update 14.6.1, I can't send email from Outlook. The error message is that the server has timed out, but that is not the issue. I run Outlook over GoDaddy, and can both send and receive from my server directly. Spent hours on the phone with GoDaddy, there is no setting problem. Unfortunately, did not activate the option to restore settings (I'm new to MAC - PCs automatically have that provision, so I didn't know I needed to activate that option on the MAC).

Apple says it's a Microsoft problem. Looking in communities, I'm not the only one having this issue. Need the emails in my in box (I'm on the road), so please help with options other than reinstalling. Have seen others who did this and it didn't help, anyway.

Thanks in advance.
