Help please

Hi, I've followed all the advice I can find on trying to remedy the mail problems with El Capitan, but cannot get my local email folders back showing. I am on the latest updates: Outlook 2011 14.6.3 and El Capitan 10.11.3, on a 15" MacBook Pro using Windows for Mac.

I use Outlook for work email and shift all of the IMAP messages coming in to my @xxxx.ac.uk (work) account into a local inbox to store them on the computer, and so I can file them more easily. When I first updated to El Capitan there was no problem, and then a few hours later the local email folders where I store everything disappeared and I cannot get them back. I've looked to all the advice so far, does anyone have any fixes?

Thanks

Alex

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Outlook 2011 14.6.3

Over the last 2 days I've noticed that I am unable to send mail; my mail gets stuck in the Outbox and the only solution to the problem that I've found so far is to Quit Outlook and restart it-then (with luck) the mail in the Outbox sends. This does not always work though.

My mail provider is BT (in the UK): @btinternet.com

My version of Outlook is in screenshot below. I've also attached the error messages that Outlook provides me in the "log".

The only changes I've made to Outlook recently are the Office updates (2 days ago) and I've changed my settings on a gmail account to have my mail forwarded to my btinternet.com account (but I don't think the latter has had any impact on this "send" problem-it is just a completely unrelated task).

Can anyone suggest any possible reasons this is happening?

Many thanks!

Bonjour,

je constate dans mon outlook 2011 pour mac qu'aucun message reçu en mars n'est archivé dans la boîte message reçu. Idem pour messages envoyés.

en recherchant les massages envoyés ou reçus avec un interlocuteur plus rien depuis 10/2/2016;

POUVEZ-VOUS M'AIDER ?

MERCI D'AVANCE

I have an email that I tried to send, but the attachment is too large.  I cannot find the outbox to delete the message, so Outlook continues to try to send the email constantly.  I have a 2010 MAC and I believe I am using Outlook 2010.  Thanks.
I have a Macbook air and use MS Office 2011.  I a using outlook through Exchange and also use via iPhone and Desktop PC at work.  Lately, I am constantly getting my outlook to show (Sync pending for this folder) and it will not stop.  When I click on it, it constantly flashes (Inbox Downloading attachments) but looks like it is having a seizure.  It WILL NOT STOP and it is KILLING my battery.  HELP!!!!!
I keep on getting a message "Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred, Any unsaved work may be lost." In my far right hand screen I get a message telling me that infected files have been found at path that goes into the temporaryitems/Outlook Temp/ folder. I think the problem is that I get too much spam and viruses/malaware our whatever shows up in my Spam folder. Outlook seems to be the only app affected by my spam as Thunderbird and Mail just ignore the spam. Does anyone have any ideas?
As a temporary fix I opened Thunderbird and cleared my junk mail folder and opened Outlook and so far it has not crashed. Perhaps it will later I do not know. Thanks..

John

Split from this thread.

I realize this is an outdated post, but could not find anything more recent. I am on Yosemite. Trying to retrieve a "conversation" of inbox emails that was accidentally deleted one month prior.

I backed up my main identity, then restored main identity from Time Machine. It restored directly to the Main Identity folder, no option to restore to desktop (that I could see). Since you can't "switch" identities anymore, I closed Outlook and reopened with the restored identity.

No missing emails appeared. No change at all that I can see.
