Outlook Desktop looks and acts like a fresh installation. So far unable to find .olm file on hard drive to import. After the last successful use of Outlook, accomplished Mavericks installation and MacKeeper Fast Cleanup. All other Office 2011 Apps function correctly. Have accomplished OS updates and MacKeeper fast cleanups many times in past successfully.

-I use Microsoft Office for Max 2011

-When I receive an Outlook email for an appointment request to automatically be added to my One Drive Cloud Calendar it posts to my Apple iMac Calendar and not One Drive.

-How can I have these appointments post to my One Drive calendar?

Hello - I have discovered what seems to be an Outlook for Mac 2011 bug:

1. Create two IMAP accounts on the same IMAP server but with different usernames and passwords.  For example, I have a personal Gmail account and a work Google Apps account.  These both use imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com but have totally different usernames and passwords.

2. Send an e-mail from IMAP account #1 (let's say the work account).

3. Before the other e-mail has finished sending, send an e-mail from the other IMAP account, the personal one (#2).

4. Note in your sent folder that both went out from IMAP account #1.

The issue appears to be that Outlook checks if the server is the same and if so assumes that the credentials must be as well.

Two questions:

1. Has anyone else seen this problem?

2. Does anyone have a fix for this problem other than "send e-mail more slowly?"

Thanks!

Since my Mac had troubles, I completely reinstalled my Mac and installed Office for Mac 2011 again from CD rom. After that I had to install some pretty old updates until I came to my current version 14.4.3.

Now when I want to lookup a contact person, the search function does not work anymore, which is time-consuming and annoying.

Is there anybody out there who can help me fixing this problem?

Kind regards in advance,

Wendy

When I send e-mails with attachments (Microsoft Outlook 2011) and then print out a copy of the e-mail, the printed copy of the e-mail does not list the attachments. How can I set up Outlook to list the attachments on the printed copy of the e-mails?

Is this another defect in the Outlook for Apple?  I am ready to switch to Mail!

Say I have a recurring Tuesday 10-11AM meeting I want to book in Outlook for the next year.  I would like to book it in the room "Shasta", because it has the best teleconference equipment, but it's not a deal-breaker if I have to be in anther conference room..

But it turns out that next month on August 18th, Susan has already booked Shasta in the same timeslot, causing a resource conflict with "Shasta.  Even if this is the only conflict, my entire meeting series gets declined.

My options at this point are grim.  I can partition my recurring meeting into a pre-August 18th partition, and a post-August 18th partition, with a third single instance on August 18th in some room other than Shasta.  My attendees have to suffer 3 invites.  There are also some other really painful things i can do to book the meeting.

Bottom line is, I shouldn't have to spend 1-2 hours booking a meeting, and confusing my attendees with a half-dozen Meeting Update notifications due to room changes.

Is there an after-market utility or some trick I can use to say:

"Book a recurring weekly Tuesday meeting from 10-11AM, 52 instances. My first room choice is Shasta, my second room choice is Alps, third room choice is Morgue, fourth room choice is Eiger."

And it will figure out the rooms for me?

Thanks very much for your time.

-Jeff

ps: For now, don't worry about platform or version of Outlook.  I'm open to all possiblities.  I use Outlook for Mac.  It's fairly unstable so I book my meetings and organize distro lists through Outlook Web Access, and I also have a VMWare instance of Windows running for when I need some functionality that is only available in the Windows version of Outlook.

I'm having an issue where some of the Category colors in the ribbon drop down are not matching the custom colors I've set using "Edit Categories" or through the Preferences panel. Note the "IT Services" and "Read Mail" colors in the screenshots below, which frustratingly keep reverting to the purple color.

System details:

Mac OS X 10.9.4

Outlook v.14.4.3 (140616)

This is driving me crazy, any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Joe

Dear All,

I'd really appreciate some help getting Outlook 2011 Mac to access an IMAP server. We recently moved our email to exchange on office365, but still have a couple of active mail addresses hosted externally which we need to access. Since we're using Outlook 2011 Mac as a client, we'd like to access the accounts through this program.

When I try to setup the IMAP account in Outlook (Version 14.4.3), I enter all the information from the ISP into the form. The status indicator remains orange. No error message is shown on the screen, and if I enable logging (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984217(v=office.14).aspx), I also don't find any error messages.

I'm certain that I have the right account settings. The servers are on:

IMAP / SSL: port 993

SMTP: port 587 (TLS)

In outlook, I am inputting the following server information (screenshot attached):

User name: <user>

Password: <passwd>

Incoming server: <server> : 993

Override default port: not checked

Use SSL to connect (recommended): checked

Always use secure password: not checked

Outgoing server: <server> : 587

Override default port: checked

Use SSL to connect (recommended): checked

More Options:

Authentication: Use Incoming Server Info

I have no problem accessing the account through other clients (Mac Mail or an iPhone). On the same machine, I can connect manually to the IMAP server through the command line and connect manually to the SMTP server through the command line (redacted output below)

Is anyone able to help with a solution? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks in advance,

Robert
