Hi there,

Today I opened Outlook to find information in my archive folders and find it completely empty.
Two months ago I had about email accounts registered, but canceled and nothing is erased, even a couple of days ago I was looking for information.
I'm sure I have not given clear or reset.
Please request your assistance. I have very important information retrieval.

I was trying to find a way to transfer emails from my Entourage X mac version to Microsoft Outlook mac version. I found it impossible to import emails from my old Entourage X email program.

I made a foolish mistake after taking silly advice from a topic on a forum suggesting to replace office 2011 identities folder with office X identities folder in my Microsoft User Data in my Imac (version 10.9.4). It replaced office 2011 identities and I found my outlook would not open everytime when I tried to open it.

I had to uninstall the Microsoft Office Mac 2011 and re-installed it again but I found that the outlook would NOT open.

Can anyone HELP me PLEASE as I'm very frustrated with this business

Can you and How do you change the members of a exchange 2010 global address list from within Outlook 2011 for Mac?

I know in other versions you can open the address book and right click on group and go to properties, how is this done on a Mac?

Dear experts,

I do see an interesting and confusing behavior of Outlook for Mac: since today I cannot move messages from one folder to another with drag and drop without holding the CMD key. The standard seems to be the creation of a copy. I.e. I'd like to move a message from my inbox (Exchange Server) to a local Outlook folder. I drag the respective item and want to drop it on the selected folder. Till yesterday that worked very fine. Since today I need to press the CMD button to get it moved.

Any hints what the reason can be?

Many thanks

Rene

I've recently switched from using Apple Mail to Outlook 2011 (company mandate). At least once a week, I'll send out an email and forget to attach the attachment.  I had a add-in for Mail that would pop up a warning if I tried to send an email without attaching an attachment (I believe it did a text search for "attach" or "enclose").  I've also seen Visual Basic scripts for Outlook on Windows that do the same thing.  Does anyone have an AppleScript I can use with Outlook 2011 that will remind me to attach an attachment?

I *had* been having a problem with Outlook asking me for my Gmail and Hotmail passwords about 1/5 of the time I wanted to send email. It was not automatically connecting with the online services.

Now  Outlook is sending me a "logon failure" message for both accounts: "unknown user name or bad password."   The error message pops up each time I enter the correct info.

I have gone into "accounts" and re-entered the passwords, as well as entering them when I'm prompted. Still no mail access.

Using Office365, with applications installed on a MacBook Air, I cannot open attachments with Outlook for Mac 2011 Version 14.3.9 (131030).  Looking at the yellow triangle at the bottom right I see the message stating, "Unable to download the attachment in message ...<subject>... " with an "error code: -17890 showing at the bottom of the error screen.

These are not large files, and include PDFs and .doc(x) files primarily, but even .png files.

My mailbox is <500mb (limit 50gb), checked settings, ... not seeing an answer in forums...

Does anyone know why this would happen and what to do to fix it so I can get my attachments?

My elderly neighbour has bought a new PC running Win 8.1 to replace his 10-year old XP machine, and I have been setting up his new machine and transferring data from the old one.

I need help with a problem transferring email messages.  He was using Outlook 2003 on his old machine but does not wish to splash out on Outlook 2013.  I have therefore set up his email in the Mail app and plan to install Live 2012 mail for him.  Because he plans to buy a tablet in the the near future I set up his Sky email account as IMAP rather than the POP account he was using on his old PC.  Unfortunately this means that his existing messages no longer show up and are effectively "stranded" on his old machine.

I have been considering how to get his old messages on to his IMAP account on the new PC, as neither the Mail app nor Live Mail will allow me to import either the csv files or the pst file that I exported from his old PC.  I have come up with a potential solution and would appreciate input from the Community on whether it might work.  I have Office for Mac 2011 on my iMac but do not use Outlook as I prefer to use the native Apple apps.  My idea is to set up his Sky email account in my Outlook (as an IMAP account), open the pst file that I exported from his old PC, and bring in the old messages into his IMAP inbox.  I am assuming that the messages would then appear on his new PC when he next checks his email.  I could then delete his account from my Outlook.

A cunning plan or a lemon?

I continually keep getting an error message stating: "The server does not support secure connections." error code: -17983. Not allowing me to send messages from my home network though it worked all day in my office. Can anyone make any sense of this?
