Hello,

I have a user with a rather large exchange account (~25GB).  When he starts up outlook he gets the spinning wheel short after "initial sync" and outlook hangs hard (we left it overnight just in case). I've followed the steps at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2409331, short of creating a new user account.  In every case outlook exhibits the same hang behavior.

I'm in the process of updating is office 2011 from 14.3.6 -> 14.4.3, but I'm not holding out hope for this fixing the issue.  Is this a known issue?  Has anyone run across this?

Luke

Hi everyone,

In Outlook preferences, I turned on the sync option and checked notes. I'm trying to sync my outlook notes with apple notes. I have the Mavericks operating system. So I've switched on the preference but can anyone tell me how I can actually synch the notes?

Appreciate any help

I am using IMAP with our company mail server, also have access to Webmail.  My Mac is on OSX 10.9.4 and Outlook is 14.4.3

I recently created a new sub folder to organize a large number of important emails.  I moved approx 100-150 emails from the inbox, sent items and other sub folders to this newly created folder. (something I have done many times before)  When I clicked into the new folder I saw all the emails were there briefly, and witnessed them disappear before my eyes.

I immediately checked all the folders I had just moved the items from, as well as the deleted items to no avail.  I then logged on to the Webmail client and searched there.  Nothing!

Any other ideas would be helpful...

Yesterday I noticed that almost all of the emails in my deleted folder are missing.  I accessed this folder to forward messages as recently as 2 days ago (August 12), but when I went to look for a message there yesterday, everything before August 6th is gone.  I have looked at the other answers provided on this forum for similar issues, but none of the fixes seem to apply to my problem.  There is no "recover deleted messages" option for me, and there is no gear next to a user name where I can adjust the settings to recover deleted messages.  My outlook is not a former hotmail account - it is a straight outlook account on my MacBook Air that I use for work.  What can I do to recover these messages? Thanks.

I restarted my Imac (10.9.4) and reopened my Microsoft outlook for mac 2011(14.4.3)

I found all my folders and applied rules all disppeared.

I have tried to find ways to restore my folders and applied rules to no avail.

I found that my Microsoft user data has one office 2011 identities and two main identity - One dated today (11:11 14th August 2014) and another main identity (backed up 2014-08-05 17.26.26)

I am confused and unsure.

I want to make my outlook safe and secure before I restart my Imac but sometimes I found that my outlook saved folders and applied rules disappeared which I have to re-create it again. I do not want to see this repeating it again and again.

Can anyone please advise me how to prevent it happening again?

I accidentally deleted my Outlook for Mac account and have lost all my emails saved in folders "on my computer". I do not have a Time Machine backup but I do have a folder named Microsoft User Data with all the folders and files, but they are .olk files. Can I use these to recover my emails? Can I convert these files?

I need to utilize an Outlook 2013 for Windows feature not available on the Mac 2011 version. Specifically, I need to download messages from Dropbox and open and save them with attachment in native .msg format.

Has anyone had any experience running Windows Office 365 (on Windows 7 or 8) through VM Fusion?  I'm on MacBook Pro running 10.7.5. Potential client is very specific about this feature and it's a non-negotiable.

Thanks, Suzanne

I am using OS X 10.9.4.

Copy the main identity folder and try to restore it.

However, it shows ' Your database could not be rebuilt. [-18000].

Please advise what I can do as I try to copy the database and restore several times, But the same happened.
