We've had a problem for about two weeks now.  All our Mac desktops running Office for Mac 2011 asks for a user name and password all day in Outlook.

One Mac is on Mavericks, the others are running version before Mavericks.  MacOutlook/14.4.3.140616+(Intel+Mac+OS+X+10.9.4.  From Mavaricks Mac.

The problem started all of a sudden.  No one patched their Mac desktop at the time and the Exchange server wasn't patched either.

The problem could have been certificate naming issues where the server name doesn't match the name on the cert.  I made an allowance for this with Powershell.  Autodiscover asks to redirect to the correct server.  This happened only after recreating the ESW virtual directory.

Also tried:

- Deleted and recreated the EWS virtual folder with Powershell, but the problem still exist.

- Create a new user in Mac and created a new Outlook account.

- Delete and recreated Outlook account on an existing user account.

- Fully patched Office for Mac 2011

- Fully patched Mac OS X.

- Started Outlook with Options button.

- Tried domainusername format for logon

- Added server name in the certificate to the Network settings> Proxy servers in Mac.

- Patched Exchange 2010 completely and restarted it.

None of the above has worked.

In the Exchange 2010 server log, I found many of the POST lines show no user name for Mac IP addresses.  Here's an example:

2014-08-21 11:55:05 <Internal Server IP> POST /EWS/Exchange.asmx - 443 - 192.168.1.62 MacOutlook/14.4.3.140616+(Intel+Mac+OS+X+10.9.4) 401 1 2148074252 0

Other POST line show the user name:

2014-08-21 12:00:23 <Internal Server IP> POST /ews/exchange.asmx - 443 <DomainUsername> 192.168.1.62 MacOutlook/14.4.3.140616+(Intel+Mac+OS+X+10.9.4) 200 0 0 156

There are specific logon errors in Exchange event viewer regarding empty user names.  Event ID: 4625.

Also seeing a few 4776 cmputer attempted to validate the credentials for the account.  These have the Mac users' logon account.

Error code:

0xc0000064

I'm out of ideas and I can't find anything on the net to repair this issue.

Thanks in advance!

I have turned Junk email protection OFF on my Outlook 2011 for Mac, and still, email keeps getting sent to my Junk Folder.  How do I completely stop email from being sent to my Junk Folder?

I just turned on Sync Services in Outlook for the first time and checked 'Notes'.  Immediately after, all the notes' date modified fields changed to today's date. This is how i normally sorted them and need to be able to view them based on the most recently edited ones. What happened here??  Is this going to keep happening everytime I do a sync as well?

thanks

HELP,

We download to our imac the latest version of Outlook Mac 2011 update 14.4.3  and it started downloading all our old emails that are already in our inbox and we went to ATT/Yahoo mail and moved 40K plus emails to folder that we believe is offline but only reduced amount to 13K. This is killing the ability to work on recent emails and taking so long. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. We have searched for hours to find an option on Outlook and cannot find it, very frustrating to say the least.

Our PC is running  OSX 10.9.3

Thank you in advance,

MikeB

What did Microsoft do in the 14.4.3 update???

I applied it a few weeks ago, haven't used Office since and when I started Word tonight I was forced to reactivate Office 2011!

I already had low confidence in Microsoft's activation system, but this kind of software amnesia is ridiculous.

What happened?

Since I upgraded to Outlook 14.4.3(140616) I always have 2 phantom emails in my inbox, no content, nothing to delete and also 8 phantom emails in my Junk Email Folder, no content, nothing to delete. It's a problem as Outlook always shows 2 unread messages in the toolbar.

I attempted a rebuild of the Identity and this is what I got:

Step 1 of 5: Scanning…
Step 2 of 5: Verifying…
Step 3 of 5: Copying records to new database…
Step 4 of 5: Recovering data…
Your database could not be rebuilt. [-18000]

I would appreciate any advice to clear up this problem?

Thanks,

Dave

Hello, I am using Office 365 for Mac.  Using Outlook, I have two different email accounts.  I set up a different default signature for each.  (There are no graphics in the signatures).  When I open a new email it will be from one of my accounts and the correct signature will be shown.  But when I switch the account the signature does not automatically change to the signature that is supposed to be the default for the other account, although I know it is supposed to.  How can I fix this?

This feature is on all windows versions and really really helpful for those of us who struggle with getting emails right first time.

When is this going to be available for Outlook 2011? Really looking forward to this being integrated!

In Outlook for Windows, when you configure an account to only download the header you only get the first few lines which can sometimes be enough to choose whether you need to download the entire email or not.

On Outlook for Mac 2011, the download kicks off as soon as you open the email.

Is there any settings missing? Is this a bug?

In all other applications on my OS 10.8 Apple system, if I press Apple-T, the fonts menu comes up so that I can adjust the size of text. When I'm editing the content of a calendar appointment, Apple-T doesn't do anything, and I have to activate the context menu (control-click on the text, Font -> Show Fonts). Can I bind Apple-T to show fonts in Calendar, the way every other application does it?
