I've been trying to add an outlook email account into the outlook 2011 for mac, it does not recognises the server, how can I set it up?

I have several signatures set up which are all in 14pt Verdana. These display as expected when I add them to a newly composed email.

However if I reply to an email and insert a signature, this always defaults to 12pt Times New Roman - regardless of what font the email I am replying to was originally written in.

Most of the emails I compose and reply to are in HTML format, not plain text.

Is there any way to force my signatures to always default to Verdana?

I was just trying to install the Microsoft Office 2011 (Mac) 14.4.4 update, and it keeps telling me "These applications must be closed before the software can be installed: Microsoft Database Daemon.app
SyncServicesAgent.app

Close these applications and try again.

I had just turned on syncing for my home and work laptops today, so I thought unsyncing them would do it, but it didn't. How do I "close" these apps that I can't really seem to get to?

THanks,

Jennifer

Suddenly Outlook crashes on open with no message.

When launched from the dock, the icon bounces then a little rectangle appears momentarily.

By being very fast (and lucky) with the Command-Shift-3 Screen Capture I managed to get a peek.

It has the "O" logo "Microsoft Outlook: Mac 2011" my registered name and serial number and either of the phrases "Launching Database ..." or "Setting Up Identity ..."

Mac OS 10.9.4

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all start and run without problem

Finder "Get Info" reports version 14.4.3 for all 4 apps.

"Check for Updates" reports "There are no updates available ..."

I have tried:

Reloading Outlook from the original Microsoft DVD

Reloading Office from the original Microsoft DVD

Restoring the entire hard drive from Time Machine at just before the problem began. (That takes 3 hours)

Using Disk Utility to "Repair Disk Permissions"

Using Disk Utility to "Verify Disk" reports "The Volume .... appears to be OK."

Starting Outlook with the Option Key and "Rebuilding the Database" which ran successfully.

Numerous "Restart..."-s of the Mac OS

Still no joy, and I am out of ideas.

Anyone?

This happens throughout Office 2011 for Mac - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

I will often get either a red or blue underline, and when I right click to get the suggested spelling, Office recommends the wrong spelling. Sometimes it is way off. Sometimes, my original spelling is correct, and Office wants to make it incorrect.

Attached are two instances where this has happened just today.

Thanks

When i send a meeting or appointment request in MAC Outlook, my wife who shares a calendar does not receive the invitation in her inbox in order to accept it, but it does get placed on our calendar.  When she sends me a meeting or appointment request, I receive an email that allows me to accept the invitation.  I want her to have the same ability to receive the invite and be able to click accept or deny before the meeting gets placed automatically on our calendars...

Almost everytime I launch Microsoft Outlook for Mac I get a warning saying Microsoft Outlook needs to "rebuild the Database"

Why is it doing that repeatedly?  I spend an hour waiting for it to rebuild only to have the same thing happen a couple days later- extremely annoying!

I see lots of posts about "rebuilding the Database" but I don't see any on how to 'fix' the issue so it doesn't keep happening!

Please help!

Hi there,

I was following post : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768/en-us and remove Outlook 2011 completely except Microsoft User Data folder.

Then I have reinstall Outlook 2011 + all upgrades.

After that I open an Outlook (it creates new identity) and close it again.

I replaced new Microsoft User Data with the saved one and rebuild the identity using Microsoft Utility Tool

I open Outlook again and set a old account.

Outlook fetched all messages from my provided, but I lost all emails from my local computer :(

What have I done wrong?

Thanks in advance

I am experiencing issues with my meeting planners in Outlook for Mac 2011.

The “send to updated” feature has been sending to all for a couple weeks now, and as of today, I am unable to accept planners from others or delete my own planners.

This is occurring on my laptop and my desktop, but the issue doesn’t happen when I use Outlook in the web app.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated, as I use meeting planners all day, every day for my job.

Thanks!

L
