Hi

I've downloaded and activate my Office 365 subscription for 5 devices. It is working great on iPad Air.

I'm having issues with a new MacBook Air (1.4GHz Intel Core i5 and 4GB memory) running OSX 10.9.4. This was a new MacBook so didn't have legacy office or other products that I thought may impact. It was a "clean" install.

I have also updated to Office 14.4.4

Issue 1: When I open Excel, Powerpoint or Word it comes up with the following message;

"There is a problem with the Office database

Office might be unable to access the database or the database file might be damages. etc...."

It then suggests that I rebuild the database via the Microsoft Database Utility. I've followed the steps and it hasn't worked. I can use these programs but I have encountered some issues with cut/paste functions with the clipboard.

Issue 2: When I try to open Outlook I get the following message:

"Could not change to that Identity

An unknown error has occurred in Outlook"

When I clock on "OK" it takes me to a window to select an identity. Following the steps doesn't work.

I'd really appreciate any advice as to how to correct.

thanks

Hi,

I opened my email into microsoft outlook on my macbook and have now realised that lots of my old emails are being automatically junked. I can't stop it. I am losing emails I need for sentimental values and for work values. It's junking like 60 mails at a time. Can't find a rule that's doing it. How can I stop this and can I recover the mails it had junked and deleted?! It's basically eating itself from the oldest emails forward. I'm using version 14.4.3 Mac 2011. Thanks for any help!

[By the way navigating into this help forum is an absolute nightmare, so too is actually finding the contact button.]

I have outlook 2011 for mac installed. IMAP email account set up.
Twice now when working on the computer for no reason, outlook will say "rebuilding" and do a repair on the inbox.
It then deletes everything then starts the redownloads from the server.
Please help - our download speed is very slow and its is taking forever!

For a few days this week each time I logged on my inbox rapidly filled with up to date , duplicate and old emails going back to 2013.

My ISP who is Sky running Yahoo as an email server, tell me that there is not a problem at their end and cannot help me. They do keep messages on the server and I have never bothered to delete these, could this be an issue with Outlook?

Regards

Les

My outlook search in Mac OS X (10.9.4) does not show results older than approximately 2 weeks even if the mail is definitely sitting in the inbox (I can scroll to the mail and open it).

This has happened a couple of times in the past - but then the problem went away.

Not sure what to do.

Hi,

Got a user who has just joined our company, was using the Apple Mail client for all of his emails/contacts/etc.  We're trying to migrate him over to Outlook 2011 and get all of his data from Apple mail loaded into Outlook, but all the help topics I've seen online so far have not been helpful.

Ex 1: Export mailbox from Mail client

  1. Select mailbox to be exported
  2. Go to Mailbox menu
  3. Select Export Mailbox

Problem: Export Mailbox does not appear

Ex 2: Import directly from Outlook 2011

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Go to File menu
  3. Select Import
  4. Select "Information from another application"

Problem: "Information from another application" does not appear.

Any help would be appreciated. (Note: I'm not here to debate Apple Mail vers Outlook 2011... that is not my decision to make.  Thank you.)

We are utilizing Office 365 and I have a user who took on an additional role. Her email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, due to the new roll she is worried people will be confused and wants to send an email through outlook for mac 2011 as the alias, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

I have done some research on this and attempted it, however, I cannot seem to add the alias as an email address. Does anyone have an insight to how this could be done?

I have Outlook 2011 installed in my Mac. Over the past week I've been getting error code-16999. "not that many messages"

It is not retrieving messages but it does allow me to send them.

How can I fix this?

I'm a new IT Specialist, and our CEO has a problem.  We use the online Exchange through Office365 and Outlook for Mac 2011, and his Calendar has over 8500 entries.  This causes extreme lag for him and his delegate.  In fact, I'm currently working offline, and can't even view the calendar entries due to lag.  He syncs this calendar with his Macbook Pro, IPad and IPhone, and his delegate also uses a Macbook Pro.

What he wants:  full access to all calendar entries (even those dating back to 2006), ability to read calendar across devices without debilitating lag.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Thank you.
