How to modify columns in a folder, as it is possible with Outlook for Win?
Outlook 2011 for MAC is setup with 3 accounts.
The issue is with the default account.
When you create a new email account, and send, the email does go out out and does get delivered, but outlook reports the error -50 Unresolved Recipients.
There is only one email in the Send To prompt.
i tried deleting the account, and setting it back up as the default, but it still reports the -50 Unresolved Recipients error.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get this to stop reporting an error, when there clearly isn't one?
Thanks,
Earl
I made the transfer on Monday of this week using the migration assistant. After this completed, all of my emails were there in Outlook but if I went to search for a particular email it wouldn't locate it. I tested it by searching for a word that I could see in one of my messages and no luck. I noticed that it would successfully locate emails I had received after the migration but anything before the migration was unsearchable. I also noticed that if I went to an old email and clicked on it, then it would become searchable. Anyone else ever experienced this? Anyone got a fix for it?
Hi
I recently subscribed to Office 365 in order to gain access to Outlook on my Mac. It's working just fine but I've discovered I'm unable to save emails to a chosen folder or to save attachments at all.
When I try to save emails it just saves them to who knows where. The choice to save attachments is also grayed out.
Any help would be gratefully received
Thanks
Andrew
Moved from Office 365 / Unknown Other on Windows.
Hello,
One of my colleagues is having an issue importing .ics files from iCal to Outlook 2011 (both the Calendar itself as well as via outlook.office365.com).
That being said, I have a couple of questions:
1.) Is it possible to import .ics files from iCal to Outlook 2011 seamlessly and in real time (without any breaks)?
2.) Is it possible to keep the Out of Office Calendar entries from saying "busy" without manually changing it to "free?"
Nothing that we found online seemed to work, so hopefully this can resolve our issues.
I apologize in advance if I got any of the terms wrong. Not really used to Outlook 2011!
Thank you so much for your assistance!
I've been using Outlook for Mac 2011 for about six months, on a work computer. Apart from an Office 365 mail I've also used it for two private IMAP accounts.
Recently I've found that whenever Outlook fetches mail from one of the IMAP accounts, it also deletes them on the server leaving them unavailable for other applications. This is not the IMAP default and as I understand, should also not be the Outlook default. I only realized this was happening today, but it does explain what I thought was strange behaviour with missing e-mails when using my mobile, so it has probably been going on for about a week.
The other IMAP account, which is a Google account, is not affected.
My Outlook is version 14.4.4. I updated to this version sometime in the past weeks, but I can't say for sure if the time coincided with the start of this issue.
I would like, in order of priority:
1. My e-mail to be returned to the IMAP server. This is critical.
2. Outlook to stop deleting e-mails.
I'd be most grateful for any assistance with what I consider a very serious issue.
Best regards,

Hi! I am running Office for Mac 2011 With latest SP and i am experiencing a problem when opening mails with rather small attachments.
The wheel that indicates that an attachment is being downloaded spins for a rather long time. This occours on both small (500kb) and large (2mb+) attachements.
I have created a New profile in Outlook, and the problem then seems to og a way for a short periode and then reappear.
There are several other computers in this environment, but none of them are experiencing any problems related to network issues.
I am running Office for Mac 2011 on a fairly new iMac.
Does anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks in advance!
I have been having crashes for the better part of three days. I thought that it was related to Sync and other preferences type issues. I have removed and replaced and deleted .plist files and other Outlook and Sync preferences to no avail. In another thread, I saw the hint to look at Outlook>Window>Progress.
I have 19,526 messages in the All Mail folder. Right now, Outlook is trying to download 4348 messages. I do not know whether that is additional, or just comparing the server to what Outlook already holds. I think that it's the latter.
As Outlook gets to the end of the downloading of this folder, Outlook crashes. When I relaunch Outlook, that same download/sync starts again.
Last time, the Progress windows stopped at 4334/4348. This time it stopped at 4344/4348 messages. It almost feels like if this download/sync would finish to 4348 that my issue might be solved.
I know that this is a huge folder, but that's what Gmail places in the All Mail folder. Apparently, it's "all" of the mail I've sent.
If anyone has experience/insight, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Dave
So essentially in Outlook when I create a new message and attempt to have the To: field autofilled by people contacted recently, nothing shows up. Not only that, nothing saves when I reopen the same dialog afterward.
Help please? Any advice would be appreciated.
