Hi,

Purchased outlook as part of the office 365 home bundle.

Set my father up on a new mac as one of my subscibers. Migrated to this from an old office installation and imported the .pst files.

This was working fine both on mac and on a blackerry synced alongside but suddenly he cannot receive emails. He can still send them.

He is using a custom name, as one of my subscribers - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

The mac gives a sync error and requests new username and pasword, the blackberry gives stuff on pop and request username and pasword.

Nothing has been changed.

Also noticed that no longer able to get into the webapp as before, this giving this error -

X-ClientId: VIB0 - WIS0 - WKQU - KGOCUWDNSW X-OWA-Error: Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.TenantAccessBlockedException X-OWA-Version: 15.0.1029.13 X-FEServer: DB4PR02CA0012 X-BEServer: DBXPR06MB477 Date: 9/15/2014 8:56:15 AM

Please advise??

many thanks

I am running into some outlook 2011 for mac related issues which is disabling me to export outlook for mac data file. As I do so (Export outlook for mac datafile), mostly the outlook 2011 crashes. I am also facing other issues where outlook 2011 asks to re-build the identity. It says as follows:- "There is a problem with office database. To use database you must rebuild it using Database Utility"

All,

I recently had to install FileVault2 on my Mac.  After the encryption of the disk was successful, I noticed some issues with Office Mail searches.  Everything comes back as "No Results".   I re-index Spotlight.  Spotlight searches comes back with email entries that match my query but when trying to open them, I get the following message from Outlook "Outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity."  Now, when I go to my outlook database folder location:  user/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/  I see no contents.  When I launch Outlook with the "Option" key, I see "Main Identity" as the only entry.  Mail seems to be working fine with the exception of the search function.  I did remember making a copy of the Main Identity to another folder on my Hard drive prior to doing the disk encryption.  Would Outlook automatically know where this file was located and use it to manage my mail?  How would I verify this?  What would happen to my mail if I copied all of the contents of this folder back to the original location?  I am confused as to why spotlight is finding updated mail in this non-default location while stating this is not my Main Identity.

Any  assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

I have installed Office for Mac 2011 Home & Student directly over the older Office 2008. Now it appears that Outlook 2008 has become part of Office 2011 that was supposed to have no Outlook. I want to remove Outlook but I am afraid that I do it wrongly. Can anybody advise how to safely remove the Outlook 2008 from my Office 2011?
For some reason Outlook for Mac 2011 only provides sound notifications for the main Inbox Folder. I setup folders and rules to get emails on specific folders, but there is no sound or notification when emails arrive to the selected folders, which is not ideal. There is only sound (and sometimes notification) for emails arriving to the main Inbox...Any idea how to correct this issue? Thanks.

HI, I have a MacBook Pro  Version OS X 10.9.4 and I´m creating a new account of email in tools->accounts. If a click "new email account" nothing happen, I looking for another background  screen but I don't found nothing and the buttons are disabled.

With Exchange Accounts I don't have any problem when I click the button another screen appears but with email account don't.

This is the most annoying thing about Outlook - of which there are many.

Outlook doesn't do anything while my computer's screen is locked.

I always lock my screen when I leave my computer unattended. When I come back and check my e-mail, Outlook is just starting to check for new mail and takes FOREVER to download new messages. And let's hope there isn't an attachment because THAT WILL TAKE FOREVER TO DOWNLOAD. I can look at "sync pending for this folder" for 10 minutes!!!!!!!!!

So I sit and wait. And wait. And wait to get a critical e-mail with a critical attachment so I can simply REPLY before someone else muddies the water in a discussion.

I expect Outlook to be fetching my new mail and downloading my attachments IN THE BACKGROUND WHILE I'M AWAY.

Why do you cripple Outlook this way? Is it to delay the inevitable demand on your Outlook servers?????

Why do you torment us????

I recently received an error message that Outlook (MAC 2011) needed to "rebuild". I followed the online instructions and completed the process as instructed; however, after completion, I was unable to receive any new messages. I am able to reply to previously received messages, but I need to determine why I cannot receive new messages. The mail system on my MAC and the web-based mail system from my ISP provider both show new messages, so I know that the problem is occurring only in Outlook. Please help.
I was asked to renew my email password and since then I have had CONSTANT notifications that SIGN IN FAILED. When I try to reset my account it informs me that that accouny is already in use. It will not let me send emails from the account. I have had to turn off the notification sound as it is constantly coming up at the top of my phone. Id there any way to start again with this email address?
