Hi,

I want to know about the compatibility between OS-X Yosemite and Microsoft Office 2011. Are there any known problems after the upgrade. I use Office a lot and am hesitant to upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite without knowing much about the compatibility of both.

Would appreciate if someone could throw light on the matter.

Regards,

Mohammad

Today when I have gone to access my email, I have been prompted to sign in to my microsoft account. I have done this and got the big green tick saying that I have activated my account but it hasn't taken me offline and I still can't access my email. HEEELP please- I have been trying for the last 3 hours to get into my emails.

I've been using Outlook 2011 for Mac syncing up to Office 365 on three separate Macs since June and it's been working pretty well.

After the most recent update to Outlook 14.4.5, however, syncing has been extremely flaky and intermittent.  Some messages that I delete or move to folders in Outlook 2011 remain in the Outlook 365 Inbox, even after doing a bunch of Send & Receive All, after manually syncing the folders, etc.  There's nothing going on in the Progress window, and nothing in the Error Log window.

I know that the v14.4.5 update changed the syncing, but it was only supposed to affect Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 servers....not Exchange 365.  But I think it broke something serious with the syncing.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Thanks,

John

Outlook 2011 has been working since install. Two days ago anytime I try to send an email I get an authentication rejected error. 5.7.0. I've re-entered the password, deleted and re-created the account information, verified port settings and other settings; turned off the firewall and rebuild the identity. All of which is the same result. Also contacted the ISP which hosts the email and they say it's an Outlook problem.

There are two accounts setup. One works for incoming and outgoing and the other which is the default account is the one that has the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I installed Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac on our new Mac Pro. Word works no problem but Outlook has never worked. If the window does open it's a black window and freezes so I have to force quit Outlook. We have tried reinstalling a quite a few times. I tried rebuilding the identity, which doesn't change much since it has never worked. Can anyone help?

Outlook for Mac 2011 - Office 365 - Since I have migrated to Office 365 my Sent mail folder is empty and not being updated.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ever since I switched to IMAP with Outlook 2011 it has been dreadfully unreliable and has wasted huge amounts of my time.  The latest glitch was when my Inbox suddenly went blank just now, as if there there was nothing in it, whereupon Outlook proceeded to 'download' the contents of my Inbox afresh.  However, when it was finished, all the emails in the Inbox had lost all the colour-coded Categories that I had assigned to them. It will take me ages to reassign them, and they were really rather important. Does anyone know why Outlook is doing this and how I can stop it doing it again?

Hi!

After a while Outlook stops sending Mails and they get stuck in the Outbox folder.

After a restart we are usually able to send a few mails but then one gets stuck again and outlook stops sending.

This happens on two different installations, one connected to a "regular" Mailserver via Pop3/SMTP, the other to an Exchange Server.

We tried everything suggested in

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2434474/en-us

and

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509/en-us

but none of  it helped.

Even after a complete reinstall of Office 2011 as described in

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768/en-us

the problem persists.

Any suggestions how to fix it or how to find out why this is happening is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Whenever I send an email, my Outbox does not show anywhere. The only time I ever see the outbox is if an email fails to send. Is there a way to get the outbox to show up when emails are sending?
