Hi,
We have many users working outside of the Office, and most of them are using Outlook for Mac 2011. We are using Exchange 2013 and this has been happening a while.
The mailbox quota, is set to 20 GB. Initially, we had some users reporting the issue and we adviced to create a new identity and it resolved. But, after a couple of days, they report now that it has again started showing up. The number of users getting affected with the same error has started growing over the past couple of weeks. Nothing on the Server side has been changed.
One of the user told that they created a new identity and once the email syncing has been completed, the issue started to occur again. The mailbox statistics are as below.
TotalDeletedItemSize : 822.6 MB (862,593,451 bytes)
TotalItemSize : 5.866 GB (6,298,502,453 bytes)
MessageTableTotalSize : 467.3 MB (490,045,440 bytes)
MessageTableAvailableSize : 32.75 MB (34,340,864 bytes)
AttachmentTableTotalSize : 5.939 GB (6,376,554,496 bytes)
AttachmentTableAvailableSize : 1.031 MB (1,081,344 bytes)
OtherTablesTotalSize : 7.438 MB (7,798,784 bytes)
OtherTablesAvailableSize : 1.656 MB (1,736,704 bytes)
AssociatedItemCount : 41
DeletedItemCount : 5024
ItemCount : 27227
TotalDeletedItemSize : 822.6 MB (862,593,451 bytes)
TotalItemSize : 5.866 GB (6,298,502,453 bytes)
The second user is also having similar statistics. (less that this only). However, there are more number of users and as of now I am in contact with two of the people in this remote office location.
At this point of time, I am seeking for a permanent solution since that if I ask the users to recreate the identity they will again start getting the same issues after a couple of days. They are not in a position to take my advice to recreate identity and they will simply ignore my suggestion.
I have been checking with Apple regarding this and they redirected to check with Microsoft. Has any one else come across this situation previously?
Hi I am trying to email a group of students and I am using mail merge manager on my word for mac. Everything works great but the email goes to my drafts folder in outlook. I already made sure that I did not have the cc myself option checked and still no luck. Please help what is wrong and how can I fix this problem.

I recently installed the latest Office Update (14.4.5). From then on, I have the following problem:
Messages which are put into a Category by a rule have the Category set when the message arrives in my Inbox
Shortly (one or two seconds later), the Category on the message is unset and the message is not in any category. Initially I thought this was connected with a "downloading attachments" message on Outlook, but this is not the case as I've now seen it on messages with no attachments.
This is repeatable and very annoying! I have tried recreating the rules but to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a known bug?
We bought and installed MS Office 2011 on new MacBook Air.
I configured exchange account on Outlook 2011 .
But I found a problem, it will not download any new email after 124835 items.
It always shows "Inbox : Updating local".
Secondly, I checked other sub-local folders are OK. It shows "This folder is up to date".
I right-click the Indox, the size of inbox is 17303242K(without sub-folder).
Is there any limitation on the outlook file size?
Remarks:Our exchange server is Exchange 2007
Thanks,
William Wong
Hi - I have a macbook air and recently updated the operating system to Yosemite (what was I thinking?). I use an MS exchange to update my work emails and keep them live - I also have local folders on my mac to reduce the file size. Office was running fine for a couple of days until this morning when upon opening outlook all my emails had disappeared in the view. Digging into it, it appears the file with the identify had moved (dont ask me how) into another folder and I have a new (blank) identity. I can see that there are emails and attachment in the relocated identity/office folder as I can search my mac, the trouble is I can't open them as it says that they are not associated with the identity. So I have over 90gb of data stored that I can't access.
Ive been able to upload some of this information from the exchange server (at least the live stuff) but I can't open the files that are originally stored on my hard drive and were originally available when I logged into my Outlook.
I've been bounced about between Apple and the support team at Microsoft and haven't been able to find anyone that can help or shed any light on the identities.
Would really appreciate some guidance from some bright spark out there.
regards

Hello
I have am seeing some odd behaviour on Outlook 2011 installed on the latest Yosemite release (full production, not development).
I have 3 Exchange accounts all hosted on different servers/providers.
My main account seems to pick up the Exchange settings (mainly server) from a different account every time I power the machine down/close lid/whatever. I have to manually go into settings and manually change the Exchange server on this account to the correct one.
In Outlook's defence, this email account did used to use that Exchange server until a week or so ago when I changed providers. However, I did a clean fresh install of Office onto the Yosemite machine but did pull over the main identities.
How can I ensure the Outlook remains with the one single Exchange server I want it to?
thanks in advance,
David
I am on an Exchange Server. I just switched to Yosemite (OS 10.10). this happens on both my brand new iMac, as well as on my year-old MacBook.
My "Tasks" come down correctly from the server, but when I want to use the Smart Folder "Today", it presents me with the "Due in 1 day" tasks. If I want to see today's tasks, I need to choose the "Overdue" smart folder.
The only thing that has changed is the upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite.
I use Touchdown on my Android phone -- and the tasks appear correctly sorted/categorized there.
Any ideas what's happened?
Thanks!
Gary
