Hello,

Someone at our company has a new macbook with Office 2011, but if someone sends him a request for a meeting, he doesnt get it isnt automatically accepted.. Does anyone know about this problem because it´s really annoying for him. Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

emistery

This has recently started happening, IT updated my Outlook while I was on vacation. When I drag and drop an email from my inbox to an Archive folder the email is now copied instead of just moved. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I am moving the message because I don't need it in the inbox and now have to go back and delete the original message. Seems like a useless extra step.

So is there a setting to turn this copying off? Thanks.

Hi,

Is it possible (for instance with a script) to mark names of folders containing new messages in bold and color?

Regards,

Gérald

OS 10.9.5

System prefs: Sound:  play sound effects thru internal speakers IS selected

other sounds on MacBook play fine

OL  14.4.5

program prefs: default alerts are selected

Mail arrives and the laptop email OL client displays an envelope icon, but no sound is played.

I've tried the solutions suggested in other posts, and these do not work for me.

Can anyone suggest something else for me to try?

Hi,

I have been using microsoft products for the last 08 to 09 years.

Now i am also adding MAC to my working. Since most of my work is related to national and international correspondence regarding my business for which i use Microsoft Outlook on which my website email login has been configured and other routine products such as adobe acrobat, compression & imaging tools.

I just wanted to know that can i use same microsoft outlook product on macbook as well?? Anything particular i should keep my eye on?

regards,

I have about 15 or so folders 'under' my inbox and have rules to forward incoming emails into the appropriate folder. Randomly when opening, deleting, or checking for new email the folders just disappear - blink - they're gone. The inbox is still there but all of the sub-folders are gone. If I close Outlook and reopen it all the folders are back, including the enclosed emails until the next random event occurs.

This was happening with Mavericks and I recently upgraded to Yosemite and I have also upgraded to the newest version of Office for Mac (14.4.5). I have repaired my Main Identity and also deleted all Outlook preference files.

NOTHING has fixed it.

Now what do I do? I don't really want to go to OS X Mail but I also fear one of these times my folders won't return when I reopen Outlook.

Thanks!

Hi, having upgraded to OS X 10.10 (14A389) and the latest version of outlook for mac 2011 14.4.5 I'm having some minor but annoying issues..

1. Cannot view files to attach to emails? I can drag and drop a file in to the email and it works fine, if i use the attach icon i can only see my folder structure, no files - it spins the icon in the bottom left of the window like its trying to load up the files?

2. can no longer preview files in emails by simply hitting the space bar?

Small issues that can be worked around but annoying and disrupting my work flow :)

Anyone else seen this and have a fix?

Hi,

How can I transfer all data (folders, messages, contacts, rules) in Outlook 2011 form one mac to an another?

In other words, were are Outlook data stored? (Or is there a way to do this by from the app?)

Thank you.

Hi,

I have set many rules  in Outlook for mac 2011 and would like to trigger all of them with a shortcut.

Indeed, at present this is only possible via a menu and two submenus.

How can this be done with a keystroke?

Thank you.

Gérald

Hi - using mdls on an outlook message, it's possible to find the folderId of where that message is filed. However, doing this for each an every folder I have would be painful so I was wondering if there is a mapping database of Id to name somewhere?

The reason I want to have this is so that I can run a raw query in advanced searched with an "OR" statement containing  multiple "com_microsoft_outlook_folderID ==" for each of the sub-folders - and then be able to assign them a specific category to then archive them all...

Many thanks, Francisco
