However, when I use Outlook for Mac, from time to time (every day) the syncing disconnects and then it tells me it cannot connect to my exchange. I get a variety of errors - file was reached, could not sync, connection has failed, etc etc etc... This entire time though, my iPhone and webmail work perfectly. I've been told that this is an issue with the software. So I called Microsoft technical support and they directed me here.
Someone please help! It's starting to drive me nuts and I'm close to shutting down Outlook for good and using another mail program.
Thank you
Cazmic
Mac with Yosemite, in some incident, Outlook 2011 (14.4.5) will crash, remove identity, remove and reinstall Office, have no
use. But this problem only happen in some Mac, not all, so far, I was not able to find a solution, wipe and reinstall System

Hello,
I currently have a user that is receiving the error code 50 when he tries to send e-mails to his recipients that are part of an e-mail list. We're using an exchange server for our e-mail system. We initially thought the format of the e-mail list was wrong and we also made sure that all of the recipients e-mail address are separated with a semicolon. This issue occurs at random times. We've tried reinstalling the Outlook client and installing the latest updates. Our organization also uses the web-based e-mail system as well and he never gets any error code when he is sending e-mails using the web-based client. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips that I can perform on my end?
Thank you.
Title says it all. Whenever I add or change any calendar entry either on the Mac or in Office 365 OWA, it does not get replicated on the other end.
Please note that I'm not talking about Office for Mac, but native iCal.
Mac is running OS X Yosemite.
Syncing calendar with the iPhone works without any issues. Syncing email with the Mac Mail works as well.
How can I fix this?
Thanks.
When trying to open a mail from back up, I get this:
How do I read the mail?
I've been receiving the following message from my Mac Outlook 2011 - version 14.4.5 for two weeks. It's now got to the point where mail doesn't sync at all for my two gmail accounts. Mail can be sent but it doesn't get received in outlook - it does get received in the gmail browser though.
Message is:
Mail could not be received at this time.
The server for account “gmail” returned the error “[ALERT] Too many simultaneous connections. (Failure.” Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?
Putting the password in doesn't do anything. It doesn't register them at all.
I can see others had this issue but I'm on a personal computer and everything people have suggested doesn't work:
- I can't seem to see "exhange server field" as Simon suggests here - http://bit.ly/13AUyty
- I've changed the SMTP port to 587 as Microsoft suggest - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2353968#survey
- I've deleted all my schedules as someone else did in 2010
- I've updated my keychain access as someone suggested in one of the forums
- I've restarted, deleted both accounts and recreated them.
I'm just not sure what to do now. Both accounts have gone orange in the "accounts" area, where they would at least be green when I initially had this error.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
This problem has gotten significantly worse since Yosemite. It seems to be related to Apple's KeyChain being corrupted. When repairing my KeyChain, the problem is identified:
Item “imap.aol.com” has unspecified value for port attribute
I'll repair the keychain, but 30 minutes later, I'm presented with the dialogue to reenter my password for the AOL account.
Outlook is prevented from taking a Nap (a fix that has been suggested elsewhere)
Any idea how to correct this?
My concepts folder for my iCloud account keeps showing a number of messages in draft, but there are no messages in that folder as they have been already sent or deleted.
This is quite disturbing. How to fix?
When I download to my laptop Outlook from the server - I get the time of the download NOT the time when the e-mails were sent to me. Can anyone please advise how I can change this?
Many thanks,
Nigel
